"You're finally moving out of that room?" Aria questioned. She was combing her hair down in the mirror.

"He's dead, isn't he?" I replied. Everything concerning Farlan and Isabel was difficult. It was the worse I had been in a long time.

I lost my husband and my little sister. We had so many plans together. We were suppose to live the rest of our lives together. Having my world shift away from that was catastrophic, but there's absolutely nothing I could do and being sad would get me absolutely no where.

I picked up a box to start moving things to my office. Currently, I was cleaning out the room, I stayed with Aria and Isabel.

Aria hummed, not questioning me any further. "I'm glad you're finally recovering... Maybe you should help Levi. I'm sure he's been watching you this entire time."

I clicked my tongue. I continued folding my clothes and putting them away. "It was obvious." I replied.

Aria tossed her head to the side and furthered the subject. "You're no better than him. You're easy to read (F/n). You forget that I know you." Aria asserted. "Now, I was gone for six months, but you two were stuck here together. How did he handle those six months? You were watching him while he was watching you, weren't you?"

I glared at Aria. From the moment, I met her she's always been like this— a smartass who could read anyone. To be completely honest, I wasn't sure why she decided to team up with me. In that aspect, I was lucky and I was blatantly aware of that and because of that I could never and would never take her for granted.

"You don't have to tell me. I have a good guess already... But there's things that you should know, do you think you can handle that?" Aria questioned.

"You already got me in such a good mood, might as well." I replied, fitting things into the small crate.

Aria stepped back away from me. She thought it over and took two more steps back before proceeding. "I think I'm safe enough here... Wait. Do you have your knives on you?"

"Depends. What is it you want to tell me?"

"Farlan and you were married— mentally and psychologically— but not lawfully." Aria explained.

I raised my brow.

"He was aware of your plan. He overheard you one night when you were talking to Jesse. Farlan signed Levi's name for him to take the Surface citizenship. He was going to stay behind while everyone's else went free."

"He knew... And you knew he knew!"

"I promised him I wouldn't say anything. We were friends too. He wanted to protect me." Aria explained. "But what I really wanted to get at is everything he did was for you or at least you were in his thoughts. Don't you think his last words would have something to do with you? And there was only one person there to hear them."

"You–" I want angry at her. I wasn't angry, in general, just shocked, but still not all that surprised. "You're lucky you're hot. I would've messed up your face by now."

Aria placed her hands on her cheeks and swayed side to side, "You think I'm hot." She sung. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Shut up!" I told her and threw a shirt at her head. She caught it and folded it.

"All of us could leave. You and Levi are citizens and we have enough money to pay for mine." Aria stated. She placed the folded shirt in the crate.

I rejected her offer. "If you want to go, I'll be behind your decision, but I already made up my mind I'm staying here." I asserted.

"Okay..." She says respecting my decision, "Then I'll be staying too. And before you say anything: Just because we aren't Underground doesn't mean I'm going to abandon you. You're my best friend. I'm going to be here and I'm going to stay here."
