"What was I thinking?" I ask myself, grabbing the candy from my pouch and throwing it in my mouth.

If you've read the ending of the first chapter then you would know that I basically challenged the creator of My Hero. Claiming that I would ruin the main story line by being my usual background self.

Yeah, well I'm here to tell you that that was a phase.

A phase that ended by the next day.

Seriously, do you guys know how hard it is to be a main character without ACTUALLY being a main character?

I'm sure some of you have watched an anime or even a tv show where the best friend of the main character thinks they are the main character. Bakugo for example.

But being a background character and being the best friend of the main character is a whole different ball game. Atleast the best friends get camera time.

Being a background character gets difficult when you try to get attention. You barely get any screen time, you don't have any lines or even a script, and you don't even get parents with faces.

It's basically impossible to be in the shot for more than three seconds when being a background character.

Probably because I'm supposed to be out of the camera line, but whatever.

Anyways, after I so stupidly claimed that I would ruin the story line in the last chapter and ate my lunch (which was steak and rice), I asked my parents if I could go for a walk outside.

They agreed pretty quickly and even hurried me outside the door, saying that I should go hang out with my friends or something.

Unfortunately, the moment was so heartwarming that I didn't have the courage to tell them I didn't have any friends.

I eventually did go for a walk outside, like the dog I am, and decided to go to a local gas station for some candy. Normal right?

Well let me tell you that I had the genius idea to try and steal something (just candy not anything big) and see if someone would notice.

I stuffed some candy into my pocket and walked by the cashier ever so slowly, hoping deep down within my heart that I would get caught.

Of course forgetting the background character that I am the cashier didn't even spare me a glance.

At that point I just put the candy on the cashier plate, payed for it and walked off.

And now I'm eating candy. Alone. In my room with no friends to talk to. No kind of big goal to accomplish. And nothing to do.

"Just here." I mutter putting my arm over my eyes.

"Ah what the hell!" I yell, quickly sitting up and changing into my outdoor clothes.

If I'm not going to be noticed for the rest of my life then why try sitting alone by myself. I can do anything I want to!

Running out of my room and racing down the stairs, I pass by my mom. She barely managed to get out of the way (which is surprising because I didn't think she could see me) when I ran passed her. I gave her a quick sorry and a kiss on her cheek before telling her bye.

Running down the pathway and onto the street I huff out in exhaustion.

"I'm a pretty fast runner but if I get tried this easily then that's pretty pathetic." I mutter to myself, giving out a final wheeze before beginning my journey.

I walked past the little preschoolers and nodded at the old grandpa, who surprisingly nodded back. Or maybe he was just sleeping and the rocking chair he was on made it seem like he nodded.
