I looked at the clock, taking a bite of Bruce's sandwich before cracking open the beer he had bought himself, taking a sip. With a sigh, I picked up the phone, calling Eric's room.

Eric: Hello this is Eric Carr.

"Hey. I heard you wanted to talk to me?" I said casually.

Eric: Oh, Y/N! Yeah, are you back in your room?

"Mhm," I said, taking a sip of the cheap beer and pulling a face.

I felt bad for being so short with him. I knew he did care about me, and I loved him dearly too, but I was still annoyed at him always treating me like a child when I wasn't, I was an adult.

Eric: Oh. Do you...do you mind if I come by and talk to you?

My heart twinged at the ache in his voice and I felt even worse for how I was acting.

"Not at all! You're my brother, I always love talking to you. Just stop by whenever," I said, trying to be cheerful.

Eric: Alright, I'll see you soon.

There was a click as he hung up and I let out a sigh, taking another sip and feeling terrible. It took a few minutes before there was a knock on my door, and I pulled it open, giving Eric a smile.

"I want to apologize," he said before I could say anything. "I overreacted, I've been overreacting. I've got no reason not to trust you. Just please, don't date them, because you will get hurt and I just can't bear to see you hurt," he said.

"I won't get hurt. I promise," I said.

He let out a sigh, eyes roving over my face before he shook his head.

"Alright. I still don't want you to date them. Any of them."

"I know," I said.

I didn't say I wouldn't, so technically I wasn't lying, which was the only loophole I could find that didn't leave me wracked with guilt.

He smiled, ruffling my hair.

"Good girl. I'll grab you when we're leaving for the show," he said.

"The show?" I asked eagerly, and he nodded.

"Mhm! You do want to go, right?" he asked, eyes twinkling.

"Well now why the hell would I not want to see my brother performing, hm?"

The show was just as amazing as I knew it would be, and I tried to pay attention to Eric as well as Bruce as I wanted to be able to properly praise him after.

But once the curtain dropped, there was really only one person backstage I was looking for, and it didn't take me long to find him.

"Bruce!" I called, and he turned, giving me a smile and holding open his arms.

I ran over to him, jumping into them and letting him wrap his arms around me. He gave me a quick kiss, setting me down.

"I need to head to the dressing room, meet me in my room in thirty minutes after I'm back at the hotel," he said in a low rush, walking off, leaving me cold and desperate for his arms again.

Eric walked over to me, giving me a smile and ruffling my hair affectionately.

"It's late for you! You should head back to the hotel," he said.

"Well it's late for you too," I countered with a smile.

"True, but Gene wants to grab dinner with me. Can I trust you to go back to the hotel and not do anything? Like remember that you're not allowed to date any of them and they're all supposed to keep their hands off you?" he teased.

I nodded, heart racing as I thought of Bruce's murmured request.

"Of course. I'm an adult, I can take care of myself," I said with a grin.

He gave me a tight hug, burying his face in my shoulder. I hugged him back tightly, getting suddenly overwhelmed by sadness without having any idea why. We stood like that for awhile before at last he broke away with a sigh, and I could see tears in his eyes.

"I know," he said softly.

I put a hand on his cheek, giving him a sad smile.

"Eric, I promise I'll be alright. You don't need to worry about me," I said gently.

He gave me a weak smile back.

"I know. Now get back to the hotel, I'll see you tomorrow," he said.

I gave him another quick hug.

"I'll see you then! Have fun with Gene, tell the boys I say hi," I said, walking off with a parting wave.

Once he was out of sight I practically ran to a taxi, speeding back to the hotel, desperate to see Bruce again and silently thanking Gene for taking Eric out to dinner tonight.
