Clay's Pov

(Note: The first part takes place right before the sunsets. When you see the second *** your back to the present time.)

I played in the water with Nick for about an hour.

Nick and I got out of the water and went over to Darryl, who still had his eyes glued to the book he was still reading. 'I wondered as to where George was since he wasn't with Darryl.'

Nick flicked a little water onto Darryl's head to get his attention off of the book.

That got his attention real quick and he asked in a more angry tone, "What?" He looked up at Nick with anger in his eyes.

Before Darryl got too angry at Nick I asked "Where's George at?" "I don't know, maybe he went back to the car?" Darryl said in confusion. "I'll go check, I'll be back," I say in a worried tone.

They stayed there, while I ran back to the car to check. Once I caught my breath but before I opened the car door I was hoping he was in the car sleeping or sitting on his phone.

I opened the car door but saw no one in it and pulled my phone out of my pocket to call him.

Scrolling down through my contacts, till I got to George's phone number and pressed the call button.

I heard the ring of a phone in the car and looked at a phone on the floor of the car. A look of horror rushed over my face as I grabbed the phone and confirmed that it was George's phone.

I closed the car door with George's phone, in my hand. I rushed back to Nick and Darryl as fast as I could.

I was out of breath when I got back to them, holding onto my knees, causing Nick to get really concerned "Clay, why are you so out of breath? You look like you were just chased after dude."

I shoved George's phone to Nick and said shakily "George wasn't in the car but his phone was." That's when Darryl shot up from where he was sitting, I could tell he too grew really worried about George.

"Do you guys want to look around the area for him?" Darryl grew really worried. I got my breathing back under control and stood back up. "We can get the police involved if we can't find him by nightfall," Darryl said.

We had all realized that George was in a state he didn't know, without any form of contact, so we all were slightly panicking. Nick and I agree with Darryl, that if we couldn't find him then we'd go to the police.

Nick took the car and went back home to see if he was there, we doubted it but it was still worth a shot. Darryl took to nearby stores and I searched the rest of the beach.

After two hours had passed, Nick messaged our group chat and told us, he'd be staying at home to see if George would come back at all.

Darryl sent a message and said that none of the stores in the area knew who George was. He sends another message and asked me if I knew any other locations that he could be at.

I messaged Darryl telling him he should head home because I was nearly done with searching the beach. I got an ok from him.
