my sketches are mostly to get the basic shapes and idea of what im drawing and mostly look way messier :D

like i left out a lot of details in the hair and like, the blood and wrinkles in the clothes :3

in the lineart, i add in wrinkles to her face to make her look angry or to add a "evil smile" effect

now that im finished with the lines, i can start on coloring. now i have this specific way of digitaly coloring things. each different color gets its own layer. so for example, chaos's hair is a layer. her eyes is another layer, her hoodie is another layer and so on. it makes it way easier to do stuff and its much more organized :D

i always start with the skin color. since everything else is above it, i can just color the whole thing whatever the character's skin color is. for Chaos its like a white/grey. i have a base skin layer and then accents, because on a normal person's face, the nose, cheeks, and tips of their ears are a slightly darker shade than the rest of the face. so the accents create a separate layer. i use the airbrush for this.

next i make two layers for the two hair colors, red and brown

i always label my layers so that i dont get cOnFuSEd

also, the coloring on the red looks like its going over the lines. it is, and i dont care because im about to color over it with the clothing layer :3

ok, now that i finished unedited colors, i can start shading :3 im gonna go ahead and post this though
