shading time

so for shading, i made a new layer and lowered the opacity to 45, and then got a dark red and colored the whole character

so for shading, i made a new layer and lowered the opacity to 45, and then got a dark red and colored the whole character. then i used slightly darker reds into the middle to show the shadows getting darker, because im planning on having the lighting be behind her 

im gonna blend the shading to look better

ok now that im done with shading, the next step is lighting

see the glowy bits around the edge of the character? thats what i mean. it will look better when the background exists
