Little One

34 2 3

She was patiently waiting there
Until she couldn't any more bear
The silent screams of her mind
That was pleading for her

To move along little one
Didn't you know that love is gone
The love you thought was all consuming
Is now a dying ember, ending, nothing

You have your heart to protect
Those gaping wounds you shouldn't neglect
Stop your heart from its insolence
You must now realize heart, that it was only pretend.

Stop wearing your heart on your sleeves
You should know by now that everyone leaves
But don't be jaded little one
For someday, someone worth your love will come along.
