"I want you,"

KY POV

I hate rollercoasters

It's not the fact that you feel like you have to puke your guts out after you get off or, better yet, during.

It's not the feeling of your heart dropping to the pit of your stomach.

It's not the twists or the turns that feel like your brain is turning to complete mush.

But it's the first fall.

The first big dip of a rollercoaster that has you inching forward to the edge of your seat, not knowing how it feels over that great significant fall.

It's the not knowing and the unexpected factor of what's on the other side. That's what I don't like about rollercoasters. You don't know what's going to happen on the other side of that hump. You know you're going down, but...

How far?

How long?

How bad is that first drop?

That's what scares me; correction, she is what scares me.

Well, because Sage is that unexpected, nerve-wracking, dreadful drop.

"You okay, bro?"

"Do I look okay?"

"Sorry, I asked."

I looked at Ricky and then back at the elevator doors, and for a split second, I felt guilty.

"I'm so-"

"Yeah, Ricky, that was kind of a dumb question to ask; obviously, he isn't okay. The girl he loves is in the hospital." Darren said, hunching over while holding his stomach.

"I don't know what is more disturbing to look at? You being drunk or claiming that I'm in love."

"Shut up. My stomach really hurts. You know I'm a lightweight."

"No weak is what you are," Ricky stated.

"Dumb is what you are."

"Coming from the person that looks like-"

"Aye, cut it out!" I yelled through the elevator.

They both stayed silent and sighed heavily.

I looked up at the lights illuminating the numbers plastered on top of the elevator.

"He does have a point, though. You are in love with the girl," Ricky said.

"No one is in love with anybody." I stated.

Ricky scoffed and shook his head in disappointment.

There was nothing said between us but the heavy breathing by Darren and tapping foot from Ricky until:

"Is it normal to feel like you have to diarrhea and throw up at the same time when your drunk?"

Ricky and I both grunted towards Darren in disgust and took a step backward in the elevator out of precaution. All three of us stare at each other after the comment was made, and shortly after, weirdly busted out laughing.

"Guys, stop making me laugh. I don't feel that good." Darren said while wheezing out the words.

We all tuned forward a while after we all calmed down. I readjusted my jacket while Ricky cracked a smile and shook his head.

"Get a grip, dude."

Ricky chuckled while looking at the numbers counting to the floor that we needed to get off at.
