A/N: Hey, guys. Sorry for dropping off the face of the planet for a few years. My bad. I've recently gotten back into Danganronpa so I'm going to try to finish off the fics I've started. We'll see how it goes...

Peko felt like she was going to be sick. She internally scoffed at herself and her behavior. The number of horrifying things she had done and witnessed in the span of her life was immeasurable, and yet here she was, heart beating unsteadily and hands shaking uncontrollably as she stood in front of Misa's door. Pushing down the lump in her throat, Peko stretched out her arm and delivered three short knocks on the dorm room door. It took less than a minute for Misa to open the door, but to Peko it felt like an eternity. When her eyes finally fell on the girl before her, Peko couldn't help but take in a sharp breath.

Misa had changed up her usual wardrobe and was now wearing a black peplum dress adorned with golden lace. Rather than her typical black flats, she had chosen shimmering golden pumps to match her dress. Her chocolate brown hair had been pulled into a low bun with several strands released to frame her face. Misa blushed under Peko's awestruck gaze.

"Hi," she said shyly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Her words seemed to pull Peko out of her daze and she cleared her throat, thrusting a bouquet of deep red and white carnations toward Misa.

"I got these for you," said Peko stiffly, ducking her head down in embarrassment. Misa smiled softly as she accepted the flowers.

"Thank you, Peko. That's really sweet of you. Here, come in while I find a vase for them."

Peko watched as Misa set to work on the flowers. She couldn't find in herself to deny how mesmerized she was by the small brunette. Everything about the girl was utterly perfect in Peko's eyes. Every chance she got, Peko just tried to learn more and more little details about her. She wondered if Misa knew that she hummed while she worked. It was always the same tune, some nameless little melody that was undoubtedly Peko's favourite song in the entire world.

"Did you know," began Misa, "that red carnations are supposed to represent love and affection? You made a nice choice."

Peko felt a surge of pride shoot through her. She had known. She had spent days prior to their date researching the meanings of different kinds of flowers and colours. As a florist, she knew that Misa would be well aware of the meanings as well. For Peko, words had never come easily. She wasn't good at grand speeches or declarations. She just hoped that her quiet gesture would be enough for Misa to see how much she cared. "I am glad you think so."

"They're beautiful. Thank you, Peko," Misa said. She finished arranging the carnations in a pretty glass vase and turned back to Peko, holding her hands in front of her and rocking forward on the tips of her toes. "So. Are you ready to go?"

Peko smiled. "But of course. I made us a reservation for six o'clock, would you like to walk or would you prefer for me to call a driver?"

"Don't be silly. The restaurant isn't too far from here, we can just walk. It's not like our legs will fall off," Misa laughed and Peko couldn't help but give a quiet chuckle in return. She offered Misa her arm which the brunette happily linked with her own, and led her out of the dorm and outside to begin their walk.

"What do you mean there are no tables available?" Peko seethed.

The poor receptionist was trembling under Peko's near-murderous glare. "I- I am so sorry miss, there must have been a mistake when you made your reservation. Whoever was working reception that day must have overbooked."

"I made this reservation over two weeks ago and you are telling me that there is nothing available for me?"

"Again, I am so very sorry miss," the man apologized, "but I'm afraid there's nothing I can do."
