"Jay you know you don't have to do this right?" Aaliyah said while I tightened my shoe laces.

"I know Aaliyah but if we want him to leave you alone then I just have to beat him in this race." I stood up and looked at her.

"Why you look so worried man." I frowned at her.

"What if your shoes come undone and you trip and hit your head or you win and he start targeting you because you beat him." I sighed while shaking my head.

"Aaliyah stop thinking so negative." I patted her head. "I'll be fine." I walked up next to Hakeem who was at the starting line.

We had to run to run from one end of the long basketball court to the other. "Ok on your mark get set go!" I ran towards the other side of the basketball court a bit ahead of Hakeem. I could hear Aaliyah cheering for me, I looked back at Hakeem to see him catching up.

When I made it to the gate I quickly touched it before turning around and running to the other end. I was kind of getting tired but I kept running but it also caused Hakeem to catch up meaning we were going the same speed right next to each other.

"Come on jay you better win or I'll get kash to tease you all weekend." Oh hell no.

I sped up and ran ahead of Hakeem leaving him behind me when I made it to the finish line.

"You won jaylen." A random student said patting my back and the rest of the boys was excited also.

I turned to Aaliyah and she was smiling at me. I walked up to her while smirking. "See I told you I'll be fine." I spoke.

She rolled her eyes, "yea yea." She looked kinda funny. "You ok Aaliyah?" I asked her.

"Y-yea I'm fine just a little hot." I grabbed her arm and pulled her to the shade before sitting her down.

"Liyah." I said kinda scared, she looked kinda dazed when she looked at me. "You want some water?" I asked her.

She nodded and I stood up going to my backpack. I grabbed my water from inside of my book bag and walked back to Aaliyah. "Here drink some." She drunk half of it before sitting it down.

"You know your not suppose to be standing in the heat like that especially around the time your asthma had worsened." I lightly scolded her.

"M' sorry jay." I quietly sighed.

"It's fine just don't do that again." I mumbled to her. For the rest of the recess we stayed under the pavilion.

After school aaliyah came to my house since it was the weekend and Aaliyah's dad had to work late. Also since they didn't live far from us, I could spend time with Aaliyah a lot and she could spend the night.

Kash didn't really like to play with us outside he just wanted to play on the PlayStation ace and heaven got him.

It was a Saturday which we didn't have school, so I could play with Aaliyah all day until her dad comes from work and we have dinner. "Come on jay let's get on the trampoline." Aaliyah said running up to me.

"Liyah you know you can't be running that long, do you remember what happened yesterday." I mumbled to her and sat her down on the porch. We were playing in front of ace house.

"Sorry but I wanted to play with you some more." She pouted.

"We can play after you done took a break I'll go ask ace for some snacks and something to drink." She nodded.
