✴ CHAPTER 13 ✴

POV Ram:

"Ram!"

"Huh", I was startled by the sudden voice.

I turned my head to see my close friend who was sitting next to me. I really don't pay attention to my surroundings. He raised his eyebrows trying to meet my eyes.

"What's the matter? I've been calling you for a long time," said Phu, noticing my unusual behavior.

I don't think you can read my mind Phu.

"The pool is sick so I thought about taking him to the doctor", I lied to his face.

Lying is easy and people are good at it but it's no good that no one knows how we feel when we lie.

When Dad and Pin got into the car, I couldn't think of anything else.

"Oh, that beautiful young doctor," said Phu, referring to the vet.

I'm pretty close to her because she is Pin's sister.

This is crazy. Regardless of what you say, my thoughts keep coming back to the same thing.

"What are you talking about?", I asked.

"I'm saying that because our exams will end tomorrow so let's have dinner at P'King's house", he replied.

"Yes," I immediately added.

Last night's scene began to slide through my head once again.

I hid myself and followed them quietly and their goal was a hotel. After that, I didn't follow because even if I did, the staff wouldn't let me do it.

Even if I got an entry, I wouldn't want to see him at 1 a.m. when he was supposed to be sleeping with his wife at home not with any other woman let alone a woman who was his son's childhood friend.

My father is unfaithful. I tried to reason, trying to convince myself that my father wouldn't cheat on my mother because she was beautiful, kind and a good wife. If I was in his place, I would never deceive him.

"A'Ning"

I looked up to see someone standing in front of me. Without even looking, I know who it is. Only one person called me "A'Ning".

"How was the exam?", He asked everyone who sat on the bench before he sat next to me.

We all sit on marble benches under the Kasalong (Jasmine) tree.

"Can you do it?" He asked again and I nodded in response before he bent down to see the white Kasalong falling on his back.

My nose caught in the delicate Jasmine scent that was coming from his side.

"That's good, Vira"

Tee joins our table. My friends started leaving. Tee asks Phu to go somewhere with him.

" Hah ?"

" Why ?"

"I don't want to go"

"Let's go Phu"

"King, let's go first, stay with your faen here," Tee said before they left.

"Yes", everyone left one by one.

P'King and I were the only ones on the table right now, but we didn't say anything because both of us were more interested in the white flowers that fell on the table.
