Stardrop- A Tangled Adventure (Slow)

What Just Happened?

The energy was too much. He couldn't control it. He tried and tried, but ultimately, lost control. 

This is bad, this is really bad, this is really really bad! It's overflowing! The energy is everywhere, in everything! What to do...think Varian think!

Varian stood there, trying his best to control this explosion of power he felt. He told himself to calm down, to take it slow, to take control. After what seemed like hours, though was only minutes, Varian took control, and the energy faded suddenly. 

"Phew..." Varian sighed, falling onto the grass and rocks beneath him from exhaustion. 

I did it! Didn't I? Right? Yeah! I took control of it! But that wasn't what was supposed to happen...I'm not even sure what caused that... was it the incantation? But I didn't have results...unless that was the result? Ugh, so many questions, so few answers, and so little time! I need to be able to control this...

"Rapunzel? Rapunzel! Wake up! Sunshine!" Eugene worriedly exclaimed as he knelt beside the unconscious Rapunzel on the ground. He didn't know what to do. One second, she was fine, the next, she wasn't! Why? Was it that energy pulse? Speaking of, what was that? 

Ugh, this is confusing! Not my strong suit, and I have a lot of those! What could that have been though, I wonder. It wasn't Rapunzel's power...and it wasn't the Moon Stone either... Ah! Varian! He might know something about this! 

Eugene jumped up from his spot at the idea of asking Varian, though he immediately knelt back down to pick Rapunzel up. 

"Is she alright? Is the princess alright?" People out of the asked. Eugene just looked around at them, wondering how to respond, before just nodding and then rushing off towards the castle.  Little did he know that Varian was in fact, not there.

"Oh boy, Oh dear, Oh goodness..." Varian muttered to himself while pacing around the small worktable he'd set up. Ruddiger was sitting on the table, watching his human companion wander in circles. 

"Ruddiger, what did  I do? What DO I do? I guess...I try to find out what happened? Find out effects? That seems like a good place to start..."

Varian then grabbed his satchel and started investigation the area where he had activated the power. He looked for rocks, of all kinds, damage, growth or decay, anything he knew that could be related to the Heavenly powers. However, he didn't find much. Some minor damage to the ground where he had stood, and a single rock that sprouted when he lost control, but nothing major. 

"Strange...there's gotta be more to this! I know  I felt that overwhelming power, and that strange aftershock wave...but it doesn't seem like anything really happened. Hmmm." Varian said out loud. After thinking over his evidence for a moment, he decided to head back towards the castle. Maybe he effected something there where his research has taken place? Or maybe the princess knew something? It was worth a shot.

"Don't worry sunshine, we're almost there! Once I get to Varian's lab he'll be able to help figure this out." Eugene said to the unconscious Rapunzel in his arms as he hurried toward the castle. He hadn't been paying attention to anything, or anyone around him, as he ran. Then, suddenly, something, or someone, ran into him, knocking him onto the ground. 

"Ah!" Eugene exclaimed, trying to make sure he kept hold of Rapunzel. 

"Oh, uh, sorry!" The person who ran into him said.

"Watch where you're going! Why're you rushing anyways?" Eugene snapped as he turned to look at his "attacker". He was about to scold them more before he realized who it was whom had run into him.

"Varian? What're you doing?" Eugene then said as he realized.

"Hm? Eugene? Oh! Eugene!  Sorry! I was trying to get back to my lab as quickly as  I can...I need to figure out what just happened..." Varian responded, flustered. 

"'What just happened?' You mean the energy surge? That's what I was coming to you for! Whatever it was, it knocked Rapunzel out cold, and I can't wake her up." Eugene explained worriedly to the small alchemist in front of him.

"Oh no..." Varian muttered.

...

"Well, um, let's go. Follow me Eugene, we'll take her to my lab, so I can examine her, and that kinda stuff." Varian said to him. Eugene nodded, then got up and followed Varian towards the castle, hoping to find out what had just happened, and get real answers.

Ok, I'm sorry, I'm really slow at releasing BC I keep forgetting that I'm writing this story xD

I'm so sorry it's so late, and short, but I'm gonna try and get the next one done quickly bc it's an important one xD
