~"Don't Start a Rumor"~
"There's no way, even if that was true I'd seriously doubt Erin herself would be loyal to Voldemort." I lowered my voice.
"I'm not so sure...I did a bit of research as well."
"Draco Malfoy? Doing research?" I teased, I'm starting to notice that I make jokes at the worst moments.
"Yeah whatever, I was doing it for you Alyssa because she's your friend. So the rumors aren't exactly false."
"I'm still sticking to my case, I really don't think she'd be loyal to him."
He disagreed, "Have you noticed that she's been acting off lately though?"
"I mean...a bit." I rubbed my forehead, "We did get into an argument, that's why you ran into me because I left our dormitory."
"Who started it?"
"I'm not sure...I think it was her?" It's hard for me to understand or know who started an argument, I can't explain why, it's just hard.
"Do you see what I mean now?"
"Not really." I answered, "She could just be upset and acting weird because she knows Voldemort is back and that her family was loyal to him. She could be scared, just like you."
Draco seemed offended when I mentioned him being scared, "I'm not scared." He scoffed.
"Malfoy, you may be good at hiding things, but I can see through practically everybody's bullshit most of the time. Especially yours."
"I'm still not scared."
I gave him that, 'are you fucking kidding me' type of look, "I know you Draco. Leave it at that because you won't convince me otherwise. I'm going to go now since you obviously have nothing left to say to me." I tried to pass by Draco who was blocking the door, "Can you move?" Silence, "Please?"
He sighed and thought about it for a second, he then took a step to the side letting me go through, "Alyssa." He called, "Before you go, could we maybe hang out when you're free?"
The door was already halfway open, I looked at him, "I'm pretty much free all the time."
"Saturday? Hogsmeade together?"
I nodded, "Sure." I was going to turn around, but I stopped myself again, "Ya' know, it's been over three years of you knowing me. I'm surprised you haven't used my nickname."
"Isn't it Aly?"
"Yes." I confirmed, "There's Alice too, but only August ever calls me that because that name was given to me at my old orphanage."
"See ya' later then...Alice." He smiled and walked ahead of me.
I saw my brother Harry who was looking at me in the distance. Fuck. He probably thought we were shagging or something. I decided to shrug it off and continue walking.
I didn't necessarily have a destination I wanted to go to, but it was after school and I didn't want to go back to my dormitory, especially after what happened with Erin. I wanted to give her some time to cool off.

Harry followed after me throughout the corridors, I guess he'd been chasing me down for a while and barely caught up to me, "Aly, what the hell were you doing with Malfoy?"
"Why does it concern you?" I fucked up. Saying those words obviously made me seem really suspicious, but I couldn't just tell him what we were talking about.
"Maybe because I'm your brother, I get that you're mad at me for almost killing your boyfriend, and I'm sorry. I really didn't think about what was going to happen."
I turned to look at him with a 'what the actual fuck' look, "Do you not hear yourself right now?"
"I'm actually sorry! I just don't want some prude shagging my sister! Now I know how Ron feels!"
I started to whisper, "We weren't shagging. We were talking about something rather important!"
The two of us speed walking next to each other as we bickered, we eventually got outside and it was freezing. Considering it was December.
He grabbed my arm and looked at the red marks resembling one's hand, "What could you have been talking about to get this mark on your wrist?"
I thrusted my arm out of his grip, "Jeez you really don't know how to mind your own business!"
Harry stopped his pace out of irritation, "For Merlin's sake Alyssa! You're my sister! Practically a best friend to me! I tell you so much of my personal things and you can't tell me something that you were discussing in secret?!"
"So if we were shagging, you'd like to know?"
"Well if you were I'd fucking kill him!"
I took a deep breath, Harry had a point, He does tell me a lot of things that are personal to him. I'm sure he'd be able to handle a simple secret, "We were talking about Amesbury. Her family had been loyal to Voldemort, and I don't think she is herself, but she has been acting weird lately. I'm not sure if she's just scared or stressed out...or if she's actually loyal herself."
Harry paused for a moment, he was trying to process everything I just told him. He hadn't known Erin that well, but he did know she was a best friend of mine.
"So what are you planning on doing?"
"I'm not sure, all I know is I'm going to have to wait for something to happen honestly. Just...don't start a rumor."
He nodded.
