May 9th 1994

"Where are they Jo?"

Kai has gone on a killing spree. Killing almost all of the Parker family, leaving Olivia, Lucas, Josette, and Lyra, alive.

"Everything is going to be okay. Alright?" Jo said to her younger siblings as they huddled close.

Kai was only after Liv and Luke but would kill anyone who stood in the way. Lyra knew that Kai would never hurt her. She was his adopted sister. After her mother died, she was brought to live with her uncle and her cousins, who became her brothers and sisters. Lyra was only 2 when her mother died so, the Parkers had been her only family.

And what of Lyra's father? Why wasn't he the one to take Lyra?

Well truth be told, Lyra didn't know her father. Her mother had always told stories of her father. He gave her mother the gift of a child. His first born. Lyra's mother, Beth, had always said that Lyra was special and that great things would come.

But now, Lyra sat with her brother and sisters clinging onto the hope that her brother Kai would spare her.

"You guys want to play a game? Wanna play hide and seek?" Lyra could see the pain in her sister's eyes. Although she was slightly older than the twins, she was very intelligent, and knew that they had a very small chance of making it out alive.

As they hid under the bed, Jo could hear the footsteps of her sociopathic twin getting louder as he grew closer. She knew what had to be done. She had to hide the twins. She only had enough strength to hide 2 of the children.

"Where are they?" He said as he lifted up the bed.

"Kai, don't hurt us. Or them," Lyra begged.

"Oh I won't hurt you LJ. But they need to go. Now, where are they!" Lyra and Jo flinched away.

"Run!" As soon as Jo yelled, Liv and Luke slowly appeared from underneath the cloaking spell. As soon as Kai saw this, he went after the young two.

"KAI! PLEASE!" Lyra said, running after him.

"Lyra, don't go he's going to hurt them!" an injured Jo yelled.

Lyra knew that Kai wouldn't hurt the twins. It wasn't because of his morals or because he felt bad and wanted to keep them alive. It was that fact that she had the ability to tell what was going to happen. It wasn't a physic, predicting the future. It was more of a feeling that the twins would be okay but Kai would be unsuccessful.

The young girl followed her brother down the stairs. Once she made it out of the Parker home, she was stopped by a painful ringing in her ears.

As she screamed out, she heard a voice in her head.

"No," it was a bone chilling whisper, "You will not follow your cousin."

"He's my brother!"

"You already know what will happen if you follow him. Stay behind."

The next day, May 10th 1994, Kai got put into a prison world. The Parker family began living a new normal. Luke and Liv continued practicing magic so that when they turn 22, they will participate in the Merge, where one of the twins will win and become the new leader of the Gemini coven.

Lyra grew up different from her siblings. She practiced magic, but it was much easier for her. She seemed to draw magic from a different source, one that her father/uncle, Joshua Parker, couldn't understand. How was this young girl doing spells that take tons of time to practice? She had too much power. Unlike her brother, she used her abilities for good. Plus she wasn't a twin so she'd never have to participate in the Merge to become the leader of the Coven.

On the eve before her 16th birthday, she got a visit from someone she thought she'd never meet,
