We fly back to the Lyon Estates bord, once Marty is on the ground, I slide down the flags and give him a tight hug.

'Never, ever do that again!' I bury my face into his chest and tears roll down my cheeks. He freezes for a moment, but then he hugs me.
'I don't know what is going on, but whatever it is, that makes you sad, I won't do it again.' I look up at him.
'You promise?'
'Promise.' I pull away from him and dry my tears.

'Doc! Is everything alright? Over.' Marty says into the walkie-talkie.
'10-04, but it's pretty miserable flying weather. Much too turbulent to make a landing from this direction. I'll have to circle around and make a long apprufrom the south. Have you got the book?' Dad responds. Marty grabs the almanac from his pocket.
'In my hand, Doc! I got it in my hand!'
'Burn it!'
'Check!' He kicks up the hoverboard and we crouch down behind the Lyon Estates board.

I grab the bucket that was laying around and Marty puts the almanac in it, he grabs a matchbox that he was apparently caring around out of his pocket and strikes a match, he throws the match inti the bucket and it starts to catch on fire.

The matches, that he took from Biff's Pleasure Paradise, change and instead of reading Pleasure Paradise it now reads Auto Dealing. He reaches into his pocket again and grabs the George Mcfly Murdered Newspaper, which also changes. It now reads George Mcfly Honored.

'Doc! Doc!' Marty yells and he runs away from the bucket. 'The newspaper changed! Doc! My father is alive! That means everything's back to normal, right?'
'That's right, Marty! It's the ripple effect!' I walk towards Marty. 'The future's back, so let's go home!'
'Right, Doc! Let's get our asses back to the fut-' Marty gets cut off by a lighting bolt that not only hits a tree, but also hits the time machine. Marty and I get thrown onto the ground.

'Doc! Doc!' Marty yells as he stands up.
'Are you okay?' I yell before Marty can say anything.

'That was a close one, I almost bought the farm.' Dad chuckles.
'Well, be careful! You don't want to get struck by lightning.' Marty explains. Exactly what was not supposed to happen, happens. Dad gets struck by lightning again, but this time it was enough to send him to another time. Marty and I again get thrown onto the ground.

We sit up, confusion washes over me.

'What- What just happened?' I look around for the time machine. 'Did he just...' I pause for a moment.
'Yes, yes he did.' We slowly stand up.

'Dad?'
'Doc?'

'Doc, come in, Doc.' Marty says into the walkie-talkie. No response. 'Doc, do you read me?' Again, no response. 'Do you read me, Doc?' Nothing. 'Come in, Doc.'
'He's not going to respond.' The flags come falling down from the sky. 'So that means that we're stuck...'
'No, no! We can't be stuck. There is no way that we can be stuck.'
'Well do you see another time machine?'
'Well, no, but-'
'Then we're stuck!' I throw my hands up in the air from frustration.

A car comes from behind and we quickly turn around, holding each other's hand tightly. The bright lights shine into our eyes as the driver gets out of the car.

'Miss. Brown and Mr. Mcfly?' The man asks.
'Huh?' Marty exclaims.
'Are your names Y/n Brown and Marty Mcfly?' He steps into the light.
'Yeah.' We say in unison.
'I've got something for you.' He hands Marty a letter. 'A letter.'
'A letter for us?' Marty states confused.
'No, a letter for Santa, obviously it's for us, do you know anyone else who's named Marty Mcfly and Y/n Brown?' I exclaim frustrated.
'No shit! But it's impossible!' He says to me. 'Who the hell are you?' He says to the man.

'Western Union. Actually, a bunch of us at the office were kind of hoping maybe you could shed some light on the subject, see, we've had thag envelope in our possession for the past 70 years.' Marty and I exchange glances. 'It was given to us with explicit instructions that it be delivered to a young couple with your description.' The man walks towards his car and gets an umbrella, before walking back to us. 'Answering to the names Y/n and Marty at this exact location, at this exact minute, November 12th, 1955.' Marty opens the letter. 'We have a little bet going as to wether these Marty and Y/n would actually be here.'
'Well surprise! We are!' I say to the man.
'Looks like I lost.' He laughs.

'Did you say 70 years?' Marty asks.
'Uhm, yeah, 70 years, 2 months and 12 days to be exact. Here, sign on line 6 please.' The man hands a pen to Marty and Marty signs it.

'It's from the Doc!' Marty exclaims happy as he looks at the letter and we run over to the car lights to read it.

"Dear Y/n and Marty,

If my calculations are correct, you will recieve this letter immediately after you saw the DeLorean struck by lightning. First, let me assure you that I'm alive and well. I've been living happily these past 8 months in the year 1885. The lightning bolt that..."

Marty stops reading.

'1885?!' He exclaims. 'September, 1885!' Marty and I exchange looks and we start running.

'Wait, wait, kids! Wait a minute, what's this all about?' The man asks us.
'He's alive!' Marty smiles.
'My dad's alive!'
'He's in the Old West, but he's alive! The doc's alive!'
'Yeah, but kids, you alright? Do you need help?'
'There's only one man who can help us.'

———

'Doc! Doc!'
'Dad!' We run towards the 1955 version of my dad.
'Doc!'

Is this man really this deaf? Turn around, old man!

'Dad!' I yell as Marty turns him towards us. As soon as my dad sees us he screams. 'Relax, Doc. It's us. It's me! It's Marty!' Marty tries to calm him down.
'Dad, it's me. Your daughter, Y/n.' I also try, but it's no use.
'No, it can't be! I just sent you back to the future!' Dad explains.
'Yeah, no, we know you did, but we're back.' Marty says.
'We are back from the future.' I add.
'Great Scott!' That's all he says before he faints.

'Doc! Doc!'
'Dad! Dad! Dad, come on! Don't faint, this ain't the time!' We kneel down next to him.

'Oh, fantastic...' Marty says sarcastically. 'We'll have to carry him to his house.'
'How? I wouldn't say that we're the strongest people ever.'
'So? We can't leave him here!'
'Of course not! You think that I would leave my dad on the middle of the road?'
