( Y/n ) joyfully beams at the boy who was running towards her only for the smile to drop upon seeing him jump up. She quickly lunges back and bends her knees. Stretching out her arms, she waits for him to fall into her arms.
The bright smile crawls back onto her face as she sees Kise wearing one too, their bodies inches apart.
They finally collide. Kise's body slams onto ( Y/n )'s, causing her to stumble back and let out a small "oomp". Her smile didn't waver, even as she struggled to stay on her two feet.
She feels him wrap his limbs around her body like a koala, his head resting on her shoulder. She wraps her arms around his torso, holding him up.
( Y/n ) tilts her head back and unleashes a hearty laugh. The volleyball team watches the moment happen, confused yet stunned.
Akira beams at the sight of her laughing, it had been a while since he had seen her laugh so happily. Excitement bubbled in his chest as he watched the pair embrace each other, laughing into each other's shoulders.
