the problem of people like us
Is that we stuff apologies
to fill voids we aren't responsible for.
we still wait at the subway station
for a train that is never going to take us
to our destination.
and we still appreciate the sunset all the same
even if it reminds us of the evening
when we were told
"you're not enough."the problem is that we still wait for the sunrise
to cure the damage of the broken promises.despite knowing that the last time it fell on us
it only made us realise that we lost
more than we should have
