"Thank you for saving me that day."

Those seven words hit Soojin like a truck. The astonishing truth came out of the girl's mouth so randomly. As far as the etheria knows, the girl was unconscious when it happened... So why does she remember it now?

Was it because of her dormant power? Or that she knew all along? If it was the latter option, who knows what else she would remember.

That thought bothered her... Does that mean she was affected by the demon a long time ago?

"How did you know?" Soojin asked quietly, masking the concern she's feeling right now.

There was no response. She assumed that Shuhua didn't want to answer, but to her surprise, the girl was passed out in her arms. At the same time, she was relieved but she was also worried about revealing the truth so soon.

She chose to think about the first option and kept what the girl said in the back of her mind.

With a warm smile, she poked Shuhua's cheek to wake her up.

"Shushu, I know you're sleepy but can you please wait until we're home?" Soojin shook her lightly, she was still clinging onto the older woman like a koala.

"Carry me please." Shuhua responded with an adorable sleepy tone in her voice.

"I can't, you're too heavy to carry all the way up."

"Fine. Then just let me hug you the whole way up." The Taiwanese told her, which instantly caused Soojin's face to blush.

"A-alright."

"Am I just so cute that I'm making your face red?" Shuhua asked and Soojin could feel a smirk rise on her face as she snuggled in closer.

"Nope." She denied.

"According to your heart, I am." Shuhua said causing  the older woman to look away. She wasn't totally wrong though. Her heart was palpitating as if she sprinted a thousand miles.

"curse you heart, just stop beating already."  Soojin cursed to herself.

"Let's just go inside." As the older woman walked, her body was weighted down by Shuhua's hug.

But as much as Soojin wanted to pull her off, she felt a strange comfortability in the younger's arms. The feeling was unfamiliar for her. It was a different sense of emotions from all the physical touch she'd received.

As for Shuhua, she loved hugging the her. The warmth the woman radiating was so addicting and so welcoming. It was like a "huddling by a fireplace while wrapped in a plush blanket and drinking a cup of hot chocolate" type feeling.

"Shu we're never going to get to the apartment if you're weighing me down like this."

"Fine~ I'll just hug you later." She winked and left the woman dumbfounded.

"This girl I swear..." Soojin smiled to herself and followed the younger inside.

They hoped into an elevator and casually waited until they got to the seventh floor. The ride was filled with confident and flirty remarks from Shuhua and  cold and relaxed responses from Soojin, who was secretly admiring the cute display.

Once they arrived to their floor, they got out and headed to Shuhua's apartment. As they entered the door, Shuhua jumped onto the couch and sprawled her limbs over the cushions and curled into a ball. Soojin, on the other hand, made herself a cup of relaxing tea and daintily took her place on the beige armchair and pulled out her phone to scroll through social media.
