Was he really so smitten with y/n that her voice was always ringing in his mind?
"Benny! Heyyyy! Benny!"
It was like she was right next to him.
The boy yelped when someone poked him harshly in the stomach and his eyes flashed open.
E/c eyes met his own green ones as he found y/n quiet literally looming over him.
"Wake up, we're going on an Adventure!" y/n ordered, her eyes bright.
"Y/N, HOW'D YOU GET IN MY ROOM!?" Bennett demanded, eyes wide.
"The window." y/n replied, pointing to the boy's window which she had silently climbed through, "You should really learn to lock it at night, y'know."
"But... I did lock it-" Bennett said, greatly confused and y/n tilted her head.
"Then how come it was so easy to open?" she wondered aloud, "Oh, I must've broken it or something... anywho, shine and rise Benny! I found the perfect opportunity for an adventure!"
Bennett's eyes lit up, "Really?"
Y/n nodded, "Yep! It's all the way in Liyue but there's someone we can stay with over night if we need to!"
"All the way in Liyue?" Bennett questioned then frowned, "That's pretty far off..."
"Not really. I can carry you! We'll be there in no time if I carry you!" y/n chirped, "Now get dressed! I'll be waiting outside!"
Bennett watched wearily as his friend vaulted out the window and he sighed heavily.
It was a couple of minutes before they left Mondstadt and began making their way towards Liyue together.
"So... Liyue, right?" Bennett questioned, trying not to freak over the fact that y/n was holding his hand, "You've been there?"
"Yep! Been there, ate there, slept there, died there." y/n replied happily.
"You WHAT?" Bennett demanded and y/n gave him a curious look.
"Ate there? Yeah, what's so strange about that?" the h/c haired girl inquired.
"N-No! You said you died there-" Bennett told her and y/n's brows raised.
"Ohhh, I did say that, didn't I?" y/n murmured, "Yeah, I froze alive."
"How are you so calm-"
"Cause I came back." y/n replied simply then crouched, "Get on my back, it'll be faster that way."
"A-Are you sure?" Bennett questioned, "I could just walk y'know."
"Nah, I'll carry you." y/n hummed.

Y/n ended up carrying Bennett bridal style all the way to Qingce Village.
On the way, she explained to him just what they were supposed to do.
"So I found all three fragments but I know better than to go into the cave by myself!" y/n was saying as her and Bennett crossed one of the bridges together.
She was holding the boy's hand once more, specifically to make sure she didn't lose him. He seemed so absorbed in the beautiful surroundings.
"It's so beautiful here." he murmured.
Y/n smiled at him, "I would've taken you to Lantern Rite if I had the chance. Next year, I'll be sure to take you with me."
Bennett grinned at his friend, "Sounds good to me! I can't wait!"
Y/n had a thoughtful look on her face as they finally got to the cave. While they walked down the three short flights of stairs, the h/c haired girl suddenly had an idea. However, it would be saved for later.
"Just put these in here...!" y/n hummed, taking the fragments she'd gathered on her own and placing them into their own individual spots.
Her eyes lit up when the gate opened up, allowing the two friend's to wander into the cave.
"Woah... this is so pretty!" y/n breathed, "Benny, isn't this cool?"
"It's amazing!" Bennett exclaimed then noticed the few ruin guards slumped on the ground.
They didn't activate like they usually would as the two friend's passed them.
"Benny! Look!" y/n exclaimed before tugging off the arm on one of them, "I took its arm!"
"And it didn't wake up!" Bennett gasped.
The two friend's resorted to ripping off each and every one of the ruin guards, plus the ruin hunter's limbs.
"Now they're just hunks of metal!" Bennett laughed as he kicked away one of the armless + legless ruin guards.
"Not so tough are ya now?" y/n laughed at on of the ruin guards.
"Hey, what's that over there?" Bennett asked, pointing to a strange mechanism.
Y/n wandered over and activated it.
The duo watched as the strange glowy orb thing above them activated and the cavern they were in began to shake.
Bennett made a squealing noise, clinging to y/n when the ruin guards and the ruin hunter's shuddered, preparing to activate only to remain where they were.
"Huh. That was simple." y/n murmured then looked at Bennett who was still clinging to her waist, "Look over there, another gate opened."
"It did?" Bennett asked, refusing to let go of y/n as she dragged him over.
