"Chloe! Fix that turn section! You need to work harder if you want to be like Maddie!" Miss Abby yells.
But I don't want to be like Maddie, I tell myself, I just want to be me.
I run through the turn section again.
"That's good, but not good enough," says Miss Abby. I look up at the moms and see that my mom is watching. She doesn't look too happy.
I'm glad that she doesn't thank Miss Abby should talk to me like that, but I really hope that she doesn't come running down to start a fight with Abby.
Miss Abby runs Maddie's solo. When she's finished she says, "You all need to work as hard as her."
"But we do," Nia whispers to me. I nod in reply.
