"Are you sure you'll be fine?" Helen raised her eyebrows suggestively at Georg as they stood outside in the driveway next to the van.

Graduation had happened yesterday and to celebrate Georg was taking his best friends, Maria and his siblings back to the cabin, to have a proper summer vacation that they all needed.

"I'll keep an eye on him" Max clapped Georg's back as he came up behind him

"And I her" Rafie wrapped her arm around Maria's shoulders, even though she wasn't addressed in the conversation

"No funny business from any of you" Peg pointed at the oldest four

"Of course not" Rafie shook her head with a laugh

"Can we go now?" Gretl pleaded as she ran up to her brother.

"Don't be so impatient" Marta tried to intervene but Georg had scooped his littlest sister up before she could say anything else "Don't be in such a hurry" he tickled her stomach

"Did you get everything Lou?" Liesl asked and Louisa Friedrich and Brigitta threw their backpacks into the back of the vehicle.

"Yep" called Louisa

"Crap I forgot my summer reading book" Kurt's shoulders slumped

"I didn't" Brigitta smiled

"Shut up" Kurt rolled his eyes

"Congrats you skipped a grade Bri, we've heard about it enough" Friedrich was as sarcastic as ever before offering to take Maria's bag from her.

"We'll be fine Aunt Helen" Liesl gave her aunt a hug before ushering her siblings onto the van as Rafie raced Max for a decent seat

"Who woulda thunk?" Maria shrugged as Georg wrapped his arm around and kissed her cheek before saying bye to his aunt and dashing to the drivers seat.

"Aunt Peg?" Maria called her to adoptive mother and they stepped off to the side as Helen waved at her nieces and nephews through the window

"Yes?"

"Thank you for making me get a job, I finally know what my dream is" she smiled

"It won't always be this good darling" Peg cupped her cheek "it'll take all of you, every day, to make it work, but I believe that if anyone can climb any mountain it's you" Peg kissed her temple

Maria gave one of her classic toothy grins and wished goodbye to the Aunts one final time before jumping the passenger seat, and the van sped off, no one knowing what would happen next, but they could get through any season, together.

So that's it Y'all! *cue tears falling* but it was so much fun. Like I said this has been so fun to write and is definitely one of my favorite things.

I have an idea that I wanted to share with y'all for another story. It would be modern day once again and Georg and Maria would be adults once again but it would be a/u. The elements would still be there but I think I would want to take it in a completely different direction rather than the movie. Let me know whatcha think?

Thanks for reading!

So long farewell!
