Darren's pov:

I stretch as I open my eyes and wake, and the first thing I notice is that I'm not in my room. Second thing I notice, Lacey cuddling into me, deep in slumber. Wow...she looks even more beautiful in her sleep. I recall last night and sigh, a bit frustrated. How could I just loose myself like that? Was it her soft brown eyes staring into my soul? Was it the way I felt like protecting her always? Or was I just a love struck male werewolf?

I may go with all three...

I carefully pry Lacey off of me so I can slip out of my bed, but Lacey silently protests, grabbing my hand. Maybe I could just stay until she wakes...no, I kinda need a shower, and I don't think my mate will appreciate that... Wait, did I just say my mate? I think I did. The thought of Lacey as my official mate made me smile as I glance back at her... And I knew she wasn't my mate yet.

I manage to slip away, and I undo the barricade of Lacey's door since the sun is out. In the halls, slumped up against the walls, are my brothers who had lost themselves to the full moon's wicked ways. I shake my head at them, though their slumbering state doesn't allow them to see it, and I head to my room to freshen up.

It's been awhile when I'm in a new black tee and worn jeans and heading downstairs since my brothers were no longer in the hall. I enter the kitchen to see Lacey tending to them while a small smile playing upon her that felt like feathers when they kissed you. Her big eyes find me and her smiles grows a little. "I thought you had gone."

"Where would I plan on going?" I almost quote my question on one of the first night I met her, and Lacey recognizes it and smiles. Will pleas, "Lacey, we did say how incredibly sorry we are about last night, right? Because we are."

"Yeah, we're really, really, really sorry for that," Lewis agrees, guilt in his eyes. Lacey rolls her eyes and sighs. "Yes, all of you have apologized for the billionth time already. I'm not mad, guys. You couldn't help yourselves. I forgive you all."

They smile weakly at her, but I can tell the guys are still feeling as guilty as hell, which makes me smirk triumphantly. "It's a good thing SOMEONE responsible was here. Who knows what would've happened then?"

My brothers shoot me a quick glare, and Lacey gives me a teasing but hard stare. "You sure you're so responsible, dope?"

I knew what she was implying, and I didn't say anymore. Lacey nods and mutters, "That's what I thought."

I see my brothers, mostly, getting that concerned look, and I sent them a thought, "We didn't do it. Just...uh...an intense kiss. Full moon stuff."

They nod, not even bothering questioning my feelings, and for that I'm grateful for my kinda idiotic brothers. The front doors opens and closes, and cheery and blissful Thane enters the kitchen. "Good morning."

I see her dress from last night, and I put on my full authority on. "Are you just getting in now, Thane?"

"Mmhmm," she sighs dreamily, and you see Lacey was struggling not to laugh. I'm about to lecture when Lacey buts in, "Thane, what happened? Tell me."

"Chad loves me, too," Thane squeals, and Lacey laughs while hugging. "That's great, kiddo! Anything else?"

Thane groans while rolling her eyes. "No! I'm still a virgin, but I did fall asleep in Chad's arms last night. That's why I'm coming in now. No worries guys."

My brothers and I sigh in relief, and I hug my sister. "Good, because I might have had to teach Chad a lesson if that hadn't happened."

Thane rolls her eyes. "Meanwhile, I see seven brothers having wounds tended by Lacey. What happened hear?"
