The Bite of '87

On the fifth night of Jeremy's first week with the company, the police placed the pizzeria on lockdown and interviewed the staff, particularly asking them about any previous employees of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The police needed to track down the original owners of Fredbear's Family Diner to further pursue this matter, though it is unknown if they went through with this or if it led to anything.

Since the childrens' souls were still trapped in their animatronic suits, it became apparent to them that the real Purple Man was still at large and so they proceeded to attack the other guard of the pizzeria - Jeremy Fitzgerald. The animatronics saw Jeremy as the Purple Man since he was the only other guard there.

Jeremy arrived at the restaurant for his sixth night shift and was informed by Phone Guy that the pizzeria was to be closed down (presumably because of the murders). Phone Guy also told Jeremy that he may be moved to the day shift since the position just became available (the previous dayshift guard was arrested and fired from the company). He also instructed Jeremy to come into work the following day to complete the company's last childrens' party before the pizzeria's closure, and he told Jeremy to stay close to the animatronics and ensure that they wouldn't hurt anyone.

Sure enough, as Jeremy kept watch over the kids' party the next day, one of the animatronics bit him and tore out his frontal lobe. Luckily for him, the customers heard his screams and found him bleeding from the brain, thus an ambulance was called for him and he managed to survive his ordeal. This event would later become known as the Bite of '87. It is unknown which animatronic caused the bite, though many people point the finger at The Mangle due to the way it attacks the player by swirving downwards from the ceiling and biting at the player's forehead.

The pizzeria was officialy closed down the next day, and Fazbear Entertainment closed its doors for the next six years.

The toy animatronics were destroyed by the company and the old characters were preserved in the hope of one day reviving the pizzeria on a smaller budget.
