Shortly after Emily introduced herself as Unit chief of the BAU, you went back to your apartment. You were panicking, thinking that having slept with your boss before you even started was going to get you fired. As silly as it was, you always thought the worst of the worst.

Wanting to forget this whole mess, you tried to sleep it off, but it wasn't working. You tossed and turned throughout the night, barely getting any sleep. All you could think about was her and how much you wanted to be with her. "What a good little slut," her words echoed in your head. And when you finally fell asleep, all you saw was her body surrounded by nothing, and when you tried to reach out, you'd wake up.

Another way to distract yourself from her, you decided to go furniture shopping to make your place actually look like someone lives there, and who doesn't use shopping as a coping mechanism. You put the closest furniture shop into your gps, and drove there.

After a whole day of looking around, you found a metal frame for your bed, two faux leather bar stools for the kitchen island, and a emerald green velvet loveseat for the living room. You couldn't believe you fit all that in the back of your van, you were impressed with yourself.

You also didn't have any seats in the back because you took them out to fit all of your stuff when you moved to DC. But if you ever needed them you could make a road trip back to NC to get them, but to also see your family.

When you got back to your building, you got out and stood at the back of your van with your hands on your hips, wondering how in the hell you were going to get all of that upstairs. You were pretty strong, so you thought you could do all yourself. And besides, you didn't know anyone in the city willing to help. Well, you knew someone, but you were trying to forget about her at the moment.

Starting with the lightest thing, you grabbed one bar stool in each hand and made the trek up to your apartment. By the time you got to your door, you were out of breath and a thin sheet of sweat started to form on your skin. You put the bar stools inside and headed back down to your van. After getting the other one upstairs, you took a step back from the chairs, admiring how they looked with the counter top and tried to catch your breath.

The thought of bringing the box with your bed frame and the loveseat up by yourself made your chest hurt, so you called the one person you were trying to forget.

She picked up at the first ring. "Y/n? Is everything okay? I wasn't expecting to hear after last night."

You took a seat in your new bar stool and tucked a piece of hair behind your ear. Wow, Emily, thanks for reminding me. "Um, yeah. I was just wondering if you could help me bring some furniture up from my van. I thought I could get it myself, but I'm not as strong as I thought I am."

"Yeah, I just got out shower, so I'll put some clothes on and I'll be right over."

"Okay, great. Thank you, Emily." You covered your eyes with your free hand at the thought of her being right now. This woman is going to be the death of me.

"No problem, y/n," she said, before she hung up.

You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding. Your heart started to beat a little faster with each minute that went by, waiting for Emily.

After a few minutes, you heard a knock on your door. You opened the door and saw Emily, standing there with wet hair and bare faced. God, she's so fucking beautiful. She's wearing another pair of black leggings and an old grey t-shirt with hole on the collar.

"Hey," she greeted you softly with a smile on her face.

"Hey, thanks again for helping me. I definitely owe you big time," you said and grabbed your keys. From the corner of your eye, you saw her smirk at your words. You knew exactly what she was thinking because you were thinking the exact same thing.
