Chapter 56- Aden

She chuckles lightly, touching my shoulder briefly & I lift my head up slowly, still very aware of how red my face is.

"You're cute... it's ok if you don't want it to be a date, though... I won't force anything obviously, but... we should probably order so..."

I look up suddenly. "Oh, yeah! Just... I've never been here before... do you think... you could order for me...? What's good...?"

She smiles warmly, leaning closer to show me the menu, knee brushing mine. "Well... They have a really good Hibachi rice & chicken..."

I smile brightly. "Ooo... I love rice..."

She grins, leaning over to point at the menu. "Well, you're going to love this 1... that & the chicken... The flavor..." She does a chef's kiss on her hand in the air & I blush, eyes landing on her lips for a moment too long. She clears her throat nervously, blushing as I draw my eyes back to hers. "We should... order..."

I smile nervously. "Yeah, you're right..."

The show really is worth it... I was not disappointed... The chef did a lot of flips & fire with the food, making a real show out of it all... Impressive for someone who can't control fire, really...

Not to mention Rashida's reaction... Watching her face light up... tinted slightly orange with the light of the fire... her smile contagious... It was great just laughing & spending this time with her...

& the food, oh the food... The combination of complex flavors all mixing together into 1 dish... Delicious...

I get full soon after, almost ready to fall asleep as Rashida pays & we head out.

"So... what did you think?" She smiles slyly at me, 1 eyebrow raised & I chuckle nervously.

"It was... great... The food, ohmygods..." She chuckles, resting 1 arm around my shoulder as she does so, leaning slightly into me & I blush heavily.

"I know right! I thought you'd like it!"

I grin, her energy contagious. "Yeah, I loved the flavors..."

She backs up slightly, playing with her hands nervously as we walk toward our cars. "We could... do that again, if you want..."

I smile shyly, blushing. "Y-yeah... I'd like that... as a date maybe..." I mumble the last part, but she still hears me.

She grins crookedly. "Sure... I..." She stops suddenly as we reach our cars, parked near each other & she looks down at her feet. "I've... always thought you were so cool &... cute..." She blushes & I look up at her suddenly, eyebrows raised & face red. "I... would love to go on another date with you... I've always been so interested in learning more about you... I could never figure out why... until I..." She looks away shyly, taking a moment to breath. "Figured out I had some kinda crush on you or something recently... I'm rambling again, aren't I?" She chuckles nervously & starts heading for her driver's seat. "Yeah... I'll just leave it here... I'll see you later &... we should do this again sometime... As a date... again..."

I blush again, wanting to say something, but not knowing what as she drives away, smiling shyly at me.

Aw, this chapter's cute :3. It's great to see some development between Rashida & Aden, isn't it? They're so cute together :3 <3

Well, I guess I'll see you guys later... It might be a while tho bc idk where to go w the book from here, so...
