aubrielle and daniel were at another prenatal care appointment. daniel was silently watching the interaction between the doctor and aubrielle, "how often are your contractions?" lydia asked

"not very often, usually in the morning but once i turn it goes away. yesterday it was happening all day though, i just spent it tired in bed though so maybe it was because i wasn't moving around," aubrielle answer and lydia typed away on the computer that was a few feet away from her.

"what does that mean? isn't that labor talk? why haven't you told me?" daniel questioned, sitting up straighter to prepare for this important news.

"contractions happen in pregnancy, and yeah it also happens in labor but we're not there yet, okay? and i haven't told you because i didn't think you cared about my uterus muscles tightening," aubrielle quietly explained

"i care..." daniel began to mumble but soon cut himself off when he realized what exactly he was going to childishly mumble about. don't get him wrong, he still cares and probably much more than aubrielle merely because he also showed his concern through wariness.

"okay, I'll be back with the ultra sound and I'm assuming you're going to want photos?" lydia asked. aubrielle nodded her head and the doctor dismissed herself. this ultra sound was going to be much more interesting than a small blob. you would actually be able to see the baby much more clearly, and just the baby in general since they weren't able to see it the first time.

daniel heavily breathed in before standing up, "you good?" aubrielle asked as her eyebrows furrowed when he walked over to her and simply nodded his head. aubrielle mimicked his actions and sucked in her own sharp breath.

"are you okay?" daniel quickly said habit. it was almost like he didn't even realize the connection and the words just naturally feel from his lips, "oh," but he did realize. "i'm just nervous for this whole birth thing because I've never done it before," he explained

"so tell me why that sounds like you're going to be the one giving birth?" aubrielle asked and a small giggle fell from her lips at the end of her sentence.

"you know what i mean,"

"yeah, but don't worry about it. we technically have like three more months, maybe two," aubrielle said, "we'll have plenty of time, and plus, we still need to finish the baby crib,"

"i thought it was finished?" he asked, "it's just a plastic one, is there more i needed to do?"

technically it wasn't plastic, but it wasn't like the nice wood one james had. once the two grow up they're thinking about switching them. except james would move to a toddle bed and not the cheaper crib. it was sure better than spending another $400 dollars for a crib. the crib that the newborn would be in was around $100 and supposedly it was portable. but was it really portable if it was a large piece of an object? aubrielle didn't think so.

"we need bedding so we can make sure she doesn't roll over,"

"she can't roll over?"

"well, no? it's safe if we have her tight and snug," aubrielle said, "i'll buy them after the appointment, are you doing anything?"

"i was gonna work on music with the guys but I'll do that after i buy bedding," he said, "you can stay and do work," aubrielle hummed in response, she didn't mind the idea of doing her work and being in bed instead of shopping. plus if she really wanted to go she could just easily go with daniel.
