Prompt: Running away from a crime scene

Word Count: 100

Blood. It was pooling at my feet; it was crusted in my hair; was raked up my hand. I hated it. The blood red - liquid like and in clumps of gout - everywhere, everywhere... everywhere. Shaking, I stumbled back, as sirens rang through the deathly silent clearing.

The blood. They'd see the blood.

I ran, staring at my bloodied hands; specks of blood flew into my eyes.
I ran, rubbing my hands against my T-shirt; the blood only spread further.
I fell, the treacherous, bloodied knife in my pocket falling to the ground.

I stared.
There was no blood on it.
