Chapter 18: Surprising Revisit

Katelyn coughs loudly, as if sick or something, as Ashter is seen with face a mask, and everything with soup in hand.

"Katelyn! C'mon, ear your soup!" Ashter says as Katelyn laughs at Asher being all frustrated and kind.

"No Ash... I'm okay, really. It's just a cough." Katelyn says as Ashter sighs, putting down the soup as he became a lot more serious about the matter.

"Katelyn, you know how much you mean to me. And I'd do anything to make you feel better." Ashter says as Katelyn chuckles, before saying,

"Can't you use your Healing Magic or something? Wouldn't that work?" Katelyn says as Ashter sighs, before saying,

"Well... I would... But colds aren't physically there. In order for my Healing Magic to work... I would, Kate... I would. But it just wouldn't work as intended..." Ashter says as he looks down, a bit sorry he can't do much more as Katelyn chuckles, sitting on her bed as she gently grabs Ashter's cheek, pulling his face to meet hers as Ashter's eyes shine with a bit of water within, as Katelyn gives him a warm look,

"I'm fine. Really. I just need some rest and maybe some." Katelyn says as there was a moment of silence, as a minute later, Ashter smiles from the awkwardness of the situation.

"Hehe... I-I guess you're right..." Ashter says as he then jumps out of bed, before saying,

"Then I'll be right back with some of your father's famous Strawberry Puffs! I heard he said that they cure any kind of diseases..." Ashter says as Katelyn couldn't only sink in her bed, quietly saying to herself,

"Oh, my Irene... Dad... You're so embarrassing..." Katelyn can say as Ashter leaves the room, before leaving the house, heading over to Sylvana, Eric, and his mother's summer house as Ashter takes deep breaths upon going near the proximity of the building.

"Okay, Ash... You can do this you can do this." Ashter says to himself as he goes up the steps to the door, calming himself down.

"Okay... Just knock and ask for a Strawberry Puff. Yeah, just ask..." Ashter says as he knocks on the door, as he waits, before hearing,

"Coming!!!" From a man as Asher recognized the tone of being Eric, Katelyn's father. Soon, he opens it after a minute of waiting,

"Hi! How may I help-" Eric says as he realizes Ashter standing there, hair in a shirt baggy ponytail as Eric quickly changes tone of voice.

"Oh. Um, hey there Ashter. Do you need your mother?" Eric says as Ashter shakes his head, denying this,

"Um... No. I... Wanted to ask you something first, sir." Ashter says as soon, the two sit on the couch, before Eric asks,

"Well? What do you want to ask?" Eric says as he then asks about Katelyn after another minute of waiting,

"Well. Why not we talk about my Sugar Pea? How's she doing? Are you treating her right? What up with the mask?" Eric asks as Ashter nervously says,

"U-Uh... It's new fashion?" Ashter says as Eric chuckles, saying,

"Hahaha! You kids and your fashion sense! Back in my day, it was all about being a man! Being the best of the best and having the most intimidating clothing! Ah, what good times!" Eric says as Ashter was both weirded out and confused until he finally asks,

"Um... I need a Strawberry Puff if you have anymore." Ashter says as Eric's laughing quiets down, saying,

"What for? Nobody only comes for a Strawberry Puff and leaves without explaining why." Eric says as this scares Ashter, as suddenly, a moment of silence. But after a bit, Eric laughs loudly, howling,

"Oh, Ashter! Don't give me that face! Hahaha! Everyone comes here for a Strawberry Puff once in a while, hehehe!" Eric says as Ashter finally lets out a sigh of relief, as he soon leaves with a Strawberry Puff in hand, as Ashter looks at the little Cream Puff like desert.

"Wow... Never really looked at these things up close..." Ashter says before sniffing it, smelling the ingredients as if a robot. Ashter smirks, as he rushes back to the house and climbing up the stairs... But... Does he encounter Dante?

"Uhm... Hey Dante, do you mind?" Ashter says as Dante jumps, waving his arms everywhere before noticing Ashter.

"Oh! Oh my, Irene... Ashter... Uhm..." Dante says as Asher can feel a bit of frustration coming from him, but only a bit... As Asher tilts his head while looking at this dazed Dante, asking,

"Uh... Is everything alright, Dante?" Ashter asks as Dante nods very quickly,

"Y-Yeah! Yeah... Uhm..." Dante says before stepping out of the way,

"Katelyn is in there... If you want..." Dante says as Ashter opens the door, before seeing...

"N-Nicole!?!" Ashter says as soon, Katelyn was seen eating the Strawberry Puff as Ashter asks,

"W-Wow... I can't believe you're here too, Nicole! I haven't seen you in ages!" Ashter says as Nicole agrees enthusiastically,

"Yeah! Me neither! But I suspected it from my best friend's 'bf'! Hehehe!" Nicole says as Ashter blushes upon hearing this, before chuckling nervously about it,

"Hehehe... Y-Yeah... Surprise...!" Ashter says as Katelyn is seen happy about eating the little dessert.

"Ugh! My dad's Strawberry Puffs never cease to amaze me!" Katelyn says as Nicole's eyes widened, saying,

"Wait! Your father's here!?!" Nicole says as Katelyn nods, saying,

"Yeah! Actually, Aphmau and Ashter's moms are here too! Man, I have to make a date for us to go meet them! I'm sure my father would love to see you again!" Katelyn says as Nicole agrees enthusiastically about this, saying,

"Yeah! That would be awesome!" Nicole says as moments pass as the three talks for seemingly hours, but it was only a few minutes as soon, Nicole states,

"Hey, Ash! We totally have to go out for dinner sometime! You know, catch up!" Nicole says as Katelyn totally agrees with this,

"Oh my Irene, yeah! You two need to hang out with one another!" Katelyn says as Ashter chuckles, saying,

"Then it's a date," Ashter says as Nicole chuckles, saying,

"Cool! See you later then," Nicole says, leaving the room. As Ashter immediately says,

"You're okay with me hanging out with Nicole? Right?" Ashter says as Katelyn doesn't agree. She totally supports it.

"Yeah, well, I mean, you two haven't seen each other or hung out with one another in months. You have to!" Katelyn says as Ashter sighs, nodding,

"Okay. Then I'll get ready for later then." Ashter says as he leaves the room, closing the door, sighing to himself.

"An evening with Nicole..." Ashter says as he sees him and her being great friends

"Hm... If she and Katelyn have much in common... Then... I guess she and I will have much in common as well..." Ashter says as he thinks... About what should he wear...?
