Omg when I tell you I was immediately sucked into the plot, I really mean it. Although it did start off a bit slow, it quickly picked up and I fell in love with the overall story. I love the eerie vibe it gave and I am such a fan of the plot twists. The whole murder mystery really captivated my attention since I love those kinds of stories
This anime had me rooting for the main characters, keeping me on edge until the ending. I was always thinking "what if" and "oh maybe this connects to this" and just generally loving the feeling of paranoia this anime gave me. There was this undescribable feeling I felt once it ended, like this eerie emptiness but also relief (?) Sorry, I will try not to spoil but there were so many mixed emotions
I also liked that they accurately portrayed a character that has a stutter, not sure if the actual VA has a stutter or not, but I appreciated that. There are not many characters in this anime, it focuses on a selective few which is easier to remember. It does make this anime more impactful too since you can remember the backgrounds of each character better
I honestly recommend this one too, there is even a live action adaptation too (both are on Netflix hehe). Especially if you also enjoy thrillers and mystery.... it does not disappoint. The only disappointing thing is that I wish I could watch it for the first time again.
The ep song for each episode added to the overall creepy vibe (it's so chilling after the episode ends), which made me love it even more (I can put it in this chapter hehe I love Sayuri so much haha) I also just love the opening instrumental part the most :) I'm kinda sad that the version on spotify isn't the same as the one in the anime
[also pleaseee listen to the song I added with headphones on, it just enhances the experience :) ]
Yea, this may sound weird to someone who does not enjoy this genre as much as I do, but those who do, you may agree with me haha I'm pretty sure you guys can all agree that the ending is fire tho
