DEAR LITTLE BIRD
Dedicated to bird lovers
Dear little bird
Have you not heard
That spring is here
But do not fear.
I'm on your side
To help you hide.
Just count on me.
I care, you see.
If you are seen,
Crows can be mean.
You'll hear their caw
But just ignore.
Your mama will tweet.
She may repeat.
She'll bring you worms
From nearby berms.
You'll learn to fly
Up to the sky.
Mama will teach
You how to reach
Safe spots in trees.
Drift with the breeze.
Land in your nest
For a brief rest
Away from crows.
Your mama knows.
Then fly some more
And learn to soar.
To fly up high
In clear, blue sky
And learn to sing,
"'tis spring, 'tis spring."
