Chapter 5

Ajax and Aether were headed back to Windrise when it started to snow. The snowflakes shaped like the Cryo Vision symbol. "Snow? I didn't know it was going to snow today?" Aether says, looking over at Ajax, who was staring at the snow. "This- this is my Papa's snow. I wonder what caused Papa to make it snow?"

*BOOM*

Ajax and Aether turn their attention towards where that boom had come fro- "DAD! ZARA! MORO!!" Ajax suddenly ran full speed towards Windrise where that boom had come from. Aether right behind him.

Wide and teary eyed, Ajax could only stare at his burning house. The teen was about to run into the burning house, but was stopped by a brunette with amber eyes. "Save them....Save my dad and my aunt and uncle!! Save them please!!!" Ajax cried. "I can't lose them too!!"

The brunette turned and put a hand on Ajax's head. "Do not worry, your dad, aunt and uncle are safe. They were not within the building." Ajax stared at the man before turned his head at the sound of his name. Raising his head slightly as more tears fell,Ajax ran to Childe and hugged the ginger tight.

"Ajax! Thank god you're okay!" Childe said, worry writhing his voice as he hugged the teen back. "And I think I know who caused that boom." The ginger stood up, walked a bit towards the house and placed his hands on his waist. "BILLY! GET OUT HERE NOW!" Childe yelled, as a tiny little hilichurl slowly walked through the flames, it's head down low. Childe then folded his arms. "Divans not going to be happy with you, Billy." Billy started to speak gibberish. Gibberish Childe seems to understand. "Don't try to ease your way out of this. You know not to fiddle with Divans equipment!"

Childe sighs. "I'm letting you off this once. But, as your punishment, you'll rebuild the house, understand?" The tiny hilichurl nodded, going back to the house that was no longer on fire to rebuild it. "Did Billy blow up the house again, Childe?" Divan says, suddenly there with them. "Yes. Yes he did." The former Archon sighs. "He's eventually gonna be the death of me."

"Hey, Ajax?"

"Hm? What is it, Aether?"

Aether fiddled with his hands nervously, staring at the ground. "Uhm....would-" Aether paused, not being able to find the right words. "Would you like to join me in my quest to find my sister!?!" Ajax laughed, before putting his hands on Aether's shoulders. "I would love too!" Suddenly, a small spirit in the shape of a fluffy snow dragon appeared on Ajax's shoulder.

"Cryostasia? What are you doing here?" The little dragon snow spirit, Cryostasia, as Ajax named it, let out a little roar. "Oh. Papa sent you to watch over me?" Cryostasia nodded its head. "I'll thank him when I can." Ajax turned to Aether. "So, Aether. Where we headed?" "Liyue." Ajax grinned. "Let's go then!"

Inside their rebuilt house, Divan sat at the table in the kitchen sulking. His little Ajax was off on an adventure with Aether. Childe sighed. "Divan, he's a teenager. It's about time for him to start adventuring." "But I won't get to train him anymore!!" Divan whined. "Please stop being so childish." The former Archon looked at Childe with an unreadable expression planted on his face. "Uh...why are you looking at me li- mmph?!?!"

Childe's face went a bright red once he realised that Divan was kissing him! Just as Divan pulled away to apologise, Childe grabbed the male by the collar of his coat, pulling Divan to him and closing the gap once more. Divan, surprised by this, kissed the ginger back. Happy that Childe shares the same feelings as he does. 'So this is what love is. It feels.....excellent.'

Inside of Divans room, clothes were scattered everywhere, two males lay in the bed naked and exhausted. Who wouldn't be after doing 4 rounds of 'it'. The ginger down at his new lover, softly stroking the former Archons hair. "I love you, Divan. I know we just got together minutes ago and just had sex, but I'd give anything to keep you safe." Childe says, kissing the top of Divans head. "Do you really mean that?"

Childe looked down to see Divan looking up at him. He gave a soft smile. "Of course I do, Divan." The former Archon smiled, closing his eyes as he laid his head on Childe's chest. "Then, I love you too, Childe." Soon, the two new lovers fell asleep.
