The Dance

Your POV
I trailed behind Lydia and Allison casually walking. The three of us were going shopping, but Allison wanted to make a quickly stop, for something important she had said

I was occasionally checking my phone.
I got a text from Stiles 'we found Jackson' was all he said

"Allison when you said you needed to stop for an errand before shopping, a five-mile hike in the woods was not what I was expecting" Lydia whined
"Before I forget, I wanted to ask if you're okay with something" Allison said
"Jackson asked me to the winter formal" she said
"Did he?" Lydia asked
"Yeah. Just as friends. But I just wanted to make sure you're okay with it first" Allison said

I didn't say anything, I just scrunched up my nose in awkwardness.

"Sure. As long as it's just friends" Lydia brushed it off
"Well, yeah, I mean, it's not like I would take him to coaches office, during lacrosse practice to make out with him or anything" Allison said coldly
"About that....." Lydia trailed off

I just chuckled and followed after the angry girl

We finally stopped walking, and Allison pulled out a weird bullet. But one I knew as a light blast.
"What does that do?" Lydia asked as the girl screw the top onto an arrow.
"We're about to find out" Allison said locking it in place
She pulled her string and shot. Knowing the outcome I looked away. Shielding my eyes.
Then I looked back

"What the hell was that?" Lydia asked
"Not ominous at all" I added
"I don't know" Allison said smiling

"Well that was fun! Any more lethal weapons you wanna try out?" Lydia asked
"Please no?" I asked

She just looked at the tree. And then into the forest.
I heard the snap of a twig too.
I easily found the noise, my senses telling me it was my brother

"Hold this" Allison said handing us her bow
"What why?" Lydia asked
"Because I thought I heard something" Allison said taking off her glove
"So what if you heard something?" Lydia asked
"So, I want to find out what that something is. Don't worry it's probably nothing" Allison said walking away
"Well, what if that nothing is something and that something is something dangerous?" Lydia asked scared
"I'll protect you" I half hugged her
"Shoot it" Allison said and left

Leaving me and Lydia alone, the other girl whimpering in fear

"Let's wait here." I suggested knowing perfectly fine, nothing would hurt us.

Eventually she came back, and we went shopping

A few hours later, when I was going home, Allison came with me. She went to talk to Scott.

I just phoned Stiles.
"Hey dummy" I smiled happily
"Hey" he said, and he sounded sad
"What's wrong?" I asked sighing
"How?" He asked
"How did I know?" I asked
"Hmmm" he hummed
"I always know, now spill" I said

He sighed and explained how he tricked his dad by making him drunk to get answers.
"Just come over, we can talk better. And Stiles. Don't feel bad. We need the answers to keep him safe" I said
I ended the call, when mum came in.
"Someone looks pretty" I smiled
"Yeah, I actually have a date. Do I look alright?" She asked and I nodded
"You look beautiful mum " I said smiling
"Okay, well I need to talk to your brother." She said leaving
