he heard loud and clear

adam turns to look at her

hoping to see her beautiful y/e/c shinning staring at him

only she isnt looking at him

instead shes staring at the ground

"i know you didnt mean it but.....but it still hurt and it was sort of my fault....i over-reacted to something i shouldnt have and made a big deal out of something that i misunderstood completely"

adam was speechless

he didnt no what to say

he didnt know how to react

and then he heard a voice

a terrible voice that makes him regret who he is

a voice that sounds like the nails scratching a blackboard

a voice that makes him question himself

'am i good enough'

'what did i do wrong'

'why dont i just listen'

the voice echoed in adams brain

"you listen to me you win the goodwill games you win
at NHL but you gotta focus on hockey and hockey only
no distractions and especially no girls"

it was that voice...
