Chapter 9

the next day...

Hyunjin's pov :

I was awoken by the sound of my parents waking me up from the other side of the door. I quickly brushed my teeth and splashed water on my face.
Then I opened my door to reveal my parents pulling me into a tight hug. I hugged back of course.
I missed my parents dearly as they lived 2 hours away from me.

"How are you son" my dad asked me.

"Never been better dad" I chuckled.

"Come down dear, I made breakfast!" my mom shouted from the dining room.

Me and dad walked to the dining room together. Mom had prepared bacon, eggs and toast. It was the simple breakfast the reminded me of the old times.
I quickly ate that up, then I went into my room to change for school.

"Bye mom! Bye dad! I'll see you after class!! Oh and i'll bring a friend over!!" I said before walking out the door.

I was planning on taking Felix home to my parents later. He's one of my favorite people, so it's right that my parents meet him.
So I was gonna ask him after first period.

time skip***

First period had just ended and I waved goodbye to chan, I was gonna look for Felix and tell him about later.

I found him in the hallway with Jisung. I contemplated if I'd go and disturb their conversation but I had to anyways.

"Felix, can we talk for a sec?" I asked.

"Sure" he waved to Jisung as he walked away.

"Can you come over later? My parents are home and I really want them to meet you"
I could then see the nervousness on his face.

"I mean if you don't want to it's totally fin-"

"No jinnie, I wanna meet your parents" he cut me off.

I smiled and we walked to lunch together.

Felix's pov :

After class ended I remembered that I was going home to Hyunjin's later. Not gonna lie I was a bit nervous, but he was bringing me there as a friend so I had nothing to worry about.

Sometimes I wished it was more than that...

Anyways, I went to look for Hyunjin in his classroom after since I couldn't find him in the hallways.
I didn't see him there, instead I saw Chan...

Unfortunately for me, he saw. He quickly stood up and approached me. I wanted to back away, but I was the type to listen to what others had to say.

"Felix..."he whispered.

"Do you need anything from me chan?" I said being straight forward.
He nodded.

"Actually, I wanted to tell you that..." he paused.

"Tell me what? Just say it Chan"

"Hyunjin likes you..." he blurted out.

I looked him in the eye in confusion. Hyunjin really does like me? But why did chan tell me this?

"Why are you telling me this?"

"I want you to give him a chance. He isn't like me, he'll treat you good Felix" he said.

"Don't be afraid to love again, not everyone is like me" he added.

I couldn't help but thank him quietly. He may have cheated on me, but he isn't one of those psycho abusive exes, which i'm grateful for.

Third person pov :

After the brief conversation the ex-lovers had, the younger had left to go continue looking for hyunjin.
But what he didn't notice was that the older was already watching the two, and couldn't help but wonder what they were talking about.

Soon after though, he decided to eventually show up to Felix.

"Ah hyunjin, i've been looking for you" the younger said.

Then the two boys left the campus and were on their way to hwang's house.

Knock knock***

Suddenly the door opened, and there was Hyunjin's mom on the other side with a bright smile on her face.

"Hyunjin! You're back"

"And who's this handsome boy you have here" she added.

Felix couldn't help but chuckle at the warm welcome.

"Hi Mrs. hwang, i'm Felix, Hyunjin's friend" the younger introduced himself, handing out his hand for hyunjin's mom to shake.

"Hi dear, you can call me mom" she said back. This made Felix smile. The two boys went on inside and there was Hyunjin's dad sitting on the dining table with a smile.

"Hi Felix, nice to meet you son" Mr. hwang said as he stood up to shake the boys' hand before pulling him into a hug.

Overall the dinner was pretty good. Felix felt very comfortable with the hwangs and that made the two boys very happy. Soon after it was getting late so Felix needed to be home soon.

Hyunjin stood up to escort felix outside. The younger waved goodbye to the hwangs and they proceeded outside the house.
Suddenly Felix remembered what Chan had said, he wanted to confront Hyunjin about it.

"Hyunjin..." he whispered.

"Yes lixie?" the elder responded nervously.

"Is it true? You like me?" suddenly the olders eyes widened, how could Felix possibly have known about his secret?

"What how-" then suddenly he was cut off with Felix's lips on his. It was a meaningful kiss with loads of emotions. Emotions the two boys have never felt before.

"I like you Hyunjin, alot"

"Well I like you too Felix, no, I love you" the comment made the younger giggle and Hyunjin just pulled him into a tight hug.

Felix went home happy that night, he was finally truly happy. And that was because of Hyunjin.
