Part 18 || leaving

A/N's POV

The girl scoffed as she watched them. She wiped her tears and ran back to their house.

Jay: "what the fuck?!" He pushed her away making her fall on the ground "don't ever come fucking near me again!" He wiped his mouth in disgust and drove home

Stupid stupid stupid! The girl thought while hitting her bed. That's why he's been coming home late and leaving early. She wiped her tears and sat down on the bed trying to calm down.

<flashback>

Mrs.Kim: "please darling, just think about it ok? We really need someone for our branch in the States"

Y/N: "I know mom but Jay and I just got married a month ago. I want to spend time with him"

Mr.Kim: "alright I understand darling, we're happy you two are getting along but just keep it in mind ok? It'll really make our company bigger if you're there"

<flashback>

Maybe I should accept the offer... the girl packed some of her stuff and left Jay a note. She scoffed as her eye caught their wedding photo. I should've known...

Jay's POV

I entered the house excited to see y/n's surprised face.

Jay: "y/n?" I dropped all my stuff and searched around the house. Where could she be? I checked our bedroom and there was a note on my bedside table

I'm staying at my parents house tonight. They said it was a family emergency.

I furrowed my eyebrows. She would've called me at least, and she seems so cold in her letter. I threw it away not thinking much of it. I decided to just rest and lay down for a while until I ended up falling asleep

Y/N's POV

I knocked on my parents' door multiple times while holding al my stuff

Dad: "who's- honey!" He instantly hugged me and I cried

Mom: "sweetheart! What's going on?" I felt my dad giving my mom an I-don't-know look. My dad carried my stuff in and they sat me down in the kitchen

Y/N: "Jay's cheating on me..." my parents both widened their eyes and looked at each other

Mom: "are you sure?!"

Y/N: "I saw them kissing a while ago" my parents sighed frustratedly

Dad: "what do you want to do about it?" I bit my lip

Y/N: "I'll take your offer and stay in the States for a while"

Dad: "alright, and don't worry we won't tell the Parks the real reason. We'll let you two figure it out" I smiled at them

Y/N: "thanks guys..."

<time skip>

Mom: "we booked your flight for tomorrow at 7am" wow that's so early... but I think it's best

Y/N: "thanks mom" she shut the door and I sighed tiredly packing my things. I hate you Jay, I thought you changed.

<time skip 4:00am>

I was about to leave my house when I asked Jungwon to come over.

Y/N: "sorry if I'm asking you to come this early"

Jungwon: "it's ok, why do you need me?" I explained to him the whole situation and he tried stopping me and saying that Jay would never do that

Y/N: "I don't know... I know but there's a 60% chance I'm confident he isn't really cheating on me but I just need space for a while"

Jungwon: "but are you planning to tell him about..." he looked at my stomach

Y/N: "maybe not now"

Y/N: "Please tell Mina also but don't tell anyone else, if I tell Mina now she'll stop me from going"

Jungwon: "o-ok"

Y/N: "give this to Jay ok?" I handed him a letter "please don't read it though" I chuckled

Jungwon: "I won't" he sadly smiled and hugged me. "I'll miss you y/n come back soon ok?" I nodded and pulled apart

Y/N: "I'll try, bye Jungwon"

I got in the car and my parents started driving to the airport. Bye Jay, I'll come back I promise, I love you...

Jay's POV

I sat up straight from bed from the repeated doorbell. What's going on? I rubbed my eyes and ran down to open the door. It's 4:30am who the fuck would-

Jay: "Jungwon?" He had a serious look on his face. He also looked disappointed and angry. "What's wrong?"

Jungwon: "you for sure know well what's wrong Jay!" He yelled at me. I was confused

Jay: "what are you talking about? Actually come in we can-"

Jungwon: "no I'm just here to deliver a message" Message?

Jay: "what message?"

Jungwon: "you know Jay, it's already bad you're pretending like you don't know anything!" He started tearing up "our friend left cause of you"

Jay: "wait what? Who left?"

Jungwon: "Y/N YOU IDIOT! YOUR FUCKING WIFE! She's at the airport right now!" I felt myself turn pale as I stared at him harshly wiping his tear "I'm so disappointed in you Jay, I can't believe you'd do that" I was about to ask again but he shrugged "here just- y/n left a letter for you. I'll be off"

He handed me the letter leaving me dumbstruck. Y/n left? No no no no no! I repeated to myself as I struggled to carefully open the letter. I slammed the door close and sat down and read the letter

Dear Jay,

You probably heard that I left from Jungwon. I'm sorry I didn't say anything to you. I'm just leaving this letter without saying goodbye physically. I'm doing this because I know... if I see you before I leave I won't be able to go anymore. I'll answer some of the questions you might have. Where am I going? Well, I can't answer that because I want some space for a while so please don't come try looking for me. Why do I want space or why do I even want to leave in the first place. I know you already know this but, I saw you kissing that girl outside the building yesterday. I thought you promised I was the only girl you loved? Remember in our wedding? I thought you promise to never hurt me? Anyway I'll be away for a while, I don't know how long but please don't look for me. I know you're not cheating on me but what I saw really shocked me... I just want some time alone please. I love you Jay I do...

-Park Y/n

I gripped onto the letter and brought it to my forehead crying. She was there yesterday? She saw it! *sigh* I changed my clothes fast, grabbed my keys and drove to the airport as fast as I can

You promised you'd never leave me too you know...

<time skip 6:50am>

A/N's POV

Jay was only able to arrive at the airport now from all the traffic. Y/n was already at the boarding area but he tried his best even though he knew the chances were slim. He burst into the airport cutting through all the lines.

Jay: "did the flight at 7:00 leave?!" The staff looked scared and shocked by his rage but they remained calm

Staff: "that flight must be on the runway already sir" he widened his eyes as tears fell down from his face. He tried calling y/n but the girl ignored it and placed her phone inside her bag falling asleep while crying.

The plane took off as it caught Jay's eye

No... I'm too late
