Villanelle was always going to turn around. She knew that after everything, she'd never love like she loved Eve. Eve made her feel things that she didn't know were possible. Nice things. She liked the way Eve made her feel, the way she understood her and made her feel safe; even challenged her at times. She could never truly walk away, even if she tried.
Eve stood still on the other side of the bridge, contemplating. She knew that her life would change forever if she turned around. She thought about all the things she'd lost and all the things her and Villanelle had been through together. For better or for worse, she didn't care. Villanelle was the only person in the world that mattered now. She had never been more sure of anything.
