𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 『 The Falcon and the Winter Soldier 』

New World Order

I Lay in bed as I sigh it's been a few months since Westview and seeing the last of Wanda, Every phone call or text message I get I hope it's Wanda but it's not...I get up and grab something to eat and I get a phone call 

"Hello?" I say "Hey Eva" and I realize it's Sam "Hey Sam what's up?" I ask as I use my telekinesis to make some breakfast

"Eva, I know lately for you...it's been crazy with Wanda taking over a town and such." Sam says and I stay silent "But I was wondering if you wanted to come to this event in DC?" He says "Oh is it a date Wilson?" I say jokingly "No!" Sam says and I chuckle "Plus, If I did you would likely say no." He says "Oh and why is that?" I ask

 "Cause I know you got a thing for Barnes." He says and I choke on my cereal and I hear him laughing "Shut up" I say "Come on Eva it's clear he has a thing for you too." I sigh "Sam, I haven't seen Bucky since Tony's funeral. "So chances are that thing, we might have had is likely over." I say as I put my bowl in the sink

"Okay, okay I get it Eva," Sam says "But I guess I'll come along. When is it?" I ask "Today." Sam says  Calmly "Sam I swear to god" I say as I sigh "Give me about 20 minutes." I hang up on Sam and I go get changed for this event

I look in the mirror and I at least look presentable I make a portal to DC and I walk through and I appear next to Rhodey "Oh god!" I jump "wasn't expecting you here Rhodey" I say "Same for you also.." I cut him off "About Wanda yeah I don't know where she is...Guess she went off the grind" I say and I look around and I see Captain America banners "Oh, no" I say as we walk to the stage for the event knowing exactly what Sam was about to do.

"Steve represented the best in all of us. Courageous, righteous, hopeful." Sam said as he looks at the banner of Steve "And he mastered posing stoically." We all chuckle at that "The world has been forever changed. A few months ago, billions of people reappeared after five years away, sending the world into turmoil. We need new heroes. Ones suited for the times we're in. Symbols, are nothing without the women and men that give them meaning. And this thing..." He says as he picks up the shield "I don't know if there's ever been a greater symbol. But it's more about the man who propped it up, and he's gone. So, today we honor Steve's legacy. But also, we look to the future." 

Sam says as I realize what he's going to do as he looks at Steve's banner "So, thank you, Captain America. But this belongs to you" Sam says as he hands the shield to a handler, I become mad at Sam while we watch the shield being put up for display

Sam and Rhodey are talking to a Senator as I head there way "Thanks again for coming forward with the shield, Sam. It was the right decision." They shake hands and the Senator walks off "Well, guess I should have known you be giving up the shield" I say and "Eva, look I'm sorry, I know it likely was hard." Sam says and I sigh "I don't approve it but I guess I can't be mad at my best friend." I say and Sam laughs "you guys wanna go for a walk?" Rhodey asks and I shake my head, "Na, I'm good." I say "Eva, maybe after this we can catch up? Go get lunch or something?" Sam asks me "Sure, your paying though." I point at him as I walk out and I hear him chuckle

I sit on the stairs and I scroll through my phone waiting for Sam and I get a text from someone I didn't expect, Bucky

Bucky: Eva, I know it's been awhile but...We need to talk.

I stare at the text for a solid minute before I hear Sam

"Eva, you ready to grab lunch?" He says and I quickly put my phone away and stand up "Heck yes I'm hungry!" I smile "Where you wanna go then?" Sam asks and I shrug  "I haven't been to DC enough to know the best places to eat." I say "So you pick then." I finish and Sam nods

We sit outside of a Cafe "So what's new with you?" Sam says "Nothing really, been on my own for the past few months." I say and Sam nods, It stays slient for a few minutes before I speak up "Sam, I know your trying to not talk about Westview and such for my well being, But I'm fine completely fine." I say "Oh okay Eva." Sam says "So, how's your life?" I ask "Pretty good, my sister has a business, but's it's struggling because of the blip." Sam says "Oh, I'm sorry about that, if you need help you know my number." I say and Sam chuckles "Thanks Eva" He says

We talk for a few hours at most before we go our separate ways, I stay behind at the cafe and I look at the text Bucky sent and I finally build up the courage to talk to him, I call him and after a few tries he picks up

"Well, after a few months the Winter Soldier finally decide to talk." I say with a bit annoyance in my voice "Eva.." Bucky says but I cut him off "If the only reason you suddenly decide to talk with me is because of Wanda, then I don't wanna hear it." I say and I can hear him sigh "you're still mad at me?" Bucky says "What do you think?" I say then I sigh "Look, if you wanna talk, fine. But on one condition." I say "Name it." Bucky says "It needs to be face to face." I can hear him thinking about this "Okay." I hear him say and I smirk "Just give me your address and I'll be there in less then 10 minutes." I say "Alright." Bucky says before I hang up and I then get a text from him with his apartment number

I walk in a alleyway and create a portal to a alleyway close to the apartment building in Brooklyn, I walk through and the portal closes behind me as I walk to the apartment building

I check my phone for the number and I finally find it and I stand in front of it a bit hesitate to knock but after a few minutes I finally knock

after waiting a few minutes I give up and think he doesn't wanna do this, I turn around and start to head out as I hear the door open "Eva?" I turn around and I see him standing out in the doorway.
