Today was the last day of our break.

I had my day planned out. A few excavation documentaries, a little bit of preparation for my third year and an evening run. Pretty simple.

"Hey Kei~?" It was my brother- Akiteru.

He hesitantly stepped inside and gave me a bag, money and shared a list on my phone.

"Can you please-"

"No," I said, and continued scrolling on my phone.

"Please, I'll buy two strawberry shortcakes from Glenn's," he pleaded. This wavered me a little. Glenn's was a bakery that sold the best shortcakes but it's very far so I think this is an amazing opportunity I'll miss.

"Alright. Just these books, right?" I asked, sighing and getting up.

He nodded vigorously, thanked me and left the room.

I put my head phones on and started towards the library. Akiteru was home for another week and then he was going back to his dorms. I'd be lying if I say it's not fun with him around.

I scrolled through the list he sent me and walked in to the library.

I walked from aisle to aisle, picking one book after another finally getting to the last one. As I did, i noticed a familiar head. It was the gorgeous devil who saved my ass from getting whooped a few weeks ago.

I walked up to her and patted her on the back.

She pulled her headphones down and turned around. She frowned a little while asking, "Uh what's up?"

Hina was Kageyama's twin sister and for some reason I loved it that she looked nothing like him. Except for her hair. Which was jet black and straight, just like the King's.

"I have to thank you for your help last year," I said. Yamaguchi had guilt-trapped me. He asked me to treat her to something in return for what she did for me. He said that beating up three guys older than her wouldn't have been easy.

She stared at me with raised brows for a few seconds and then said, "You're welcome," and continued looking through the books. Yamaguchi had stressed on treating her to some food or drinks so I insisted, "So, what do you want? Coffee? Desserts?"

"What are you, my chaperone for the day?" she asked sarcastically and turned back to the shelf.

Cocky bitch. I sucked in my urge to retort back to her and said, "No, I just want to return the favor. So, I'm guessing you like coffee?"

"Good guess, yes I like coffee."

"No, the abnormal amount of caffeine you consume everyday makes it pretty clear," I said, not holding back the mocking tone.

She looked at me and sighed.

"That's creepy but can we get this over with? I have things to do," she said and picked up her books while walking to the desk counter to check them out.

I took my stack and checked them out as well. We walked out of the library together in silence. It wasn't awkward. It was surprisingly comfortable. Most girls I've interacted with constantly kept me occupied in a conversation which was unnecessary and a mood killer. But this one, didn't which was a huge relief, since I wanted to enjoy today and not ruin my mood.

"Alright where are we going?" she asked.

"Wherever you want to," I shrugged.

"Okay fine, follow me."

We walked for a few minutes and reached a coffee shop.

"The usual for me and a strawberry shortcake for him. Thanks, Kaoru," she said, and walked to one of the empty tables. I looked at her, slightly surprised that she remembered my order. We had come here a few months ago when we were assigned to work together on a project.

As I sat down, she asked, "Do we have to sit here till I finish the coffee? I could just take it home, you know?" clearly annoyed. Looking at her make such an annoyed expression, I wanted to see more of it.

"Yeah. Until you finish every drop," I said, smirking.

She rolled her eyes and sank back in her seat. I sat down and put my things to the side of my chair. Our order arrived within minutes and she started sipping on her coffee.

"So, do I get to know why you were getting your ass whooped by those seniors?" she asked, looking up from the rim of her coffee cup.

"Well, sure why not? I snitched on them since they were getting Tadashi to do 'under the table' work. And then they called me out with a not, like it's some street fight and then started beating me up."

She stared at me for a few seconds and asked, "What are you, five?"

"What? Tadashi's a pussy. He doesn't stand up for himself so someone has to do it."

"So you decided to take on three seniors for him?"

"I didn't. I was dragged out. Couple of street dogs they were," I said, shaking my head.

Hina let out a singular laugh which made me glance at her. She was holding herself back from bursting out laughing. And for some reason, I found that expression very amusing. I wanted to see more of it. But she didn't last long. She went back to having her resting-bitch face.

"Alright then, thanks for the coffee. Or rather, you're welcome," she said and grabbed her things to leave. I pulled the strap of her bag, making her lean backwards and almost fall. She turned around and glared at me.

"Give me your phone," I said, I didn't even know why I was doing this but I asked anyways.

She looked at me confused. And then sat down on the chair, "Why will I do that?"

"You saved me, went on a date with me and now who knows, I could be your boyfriend," I said, my tone full of mockery.

She rolled her eyes picked her and stood up, asking, "Do I look like a pushover to you, Tsukishima?"

"Very much so," a small smirk tugging my lips.

She shook her head. "How about you give me your phone?" she said, stretching her hand out.

I handed mine to her and watched her punch in a few digits. She shoved it back in my hands, grabbed her things and left the cafe.

I grabbed my things as well so as to not miss her and dialed the number she had punched in, waiting for her to answer. Instead I heard a man speak on the other side. I shook my head in disbelief and walked to my house.
