The last bell rang and all the chairs were cluttered away from their desks. Voices filled the classroom that was silent a moment ago.

Hina grunted softly beside me as she stretched her arms out in front of her. She put her books into her bag and stood up.

I blinked and glanced away when I realized I was staring at her. I packed my stuff and leaned back into my chair, stretching my legs out. I noticed the new homeroom teacher walk in. Hina passed by him but he grabbed her, making her stay.

Hina forced a smile. They exchanged a few words. Yet again, I realized I was staring and walked past them and almost out of the classroom when I noticed the teacher ruffle Hina's hair making her pout. Something made me stop and lean on the classroom door frame, with my arms crossed. They both looked at me.

"Did you want something, Tsukishima?" Mr. Fushida asked, his voice suddenly stern.

"No sir, just waiting for that one there," I said, pointing at Hina.

"I thought we were walking home together?" he asked Hina, brows furrowed in confusion.

"No Haru- I mean, Mr. Fushida. I have to leave early. Now if you'll excuse me," she said, and followed me out.

We walked in comfortable silence for a few minutes and then I broke it.

"So you know the creepy teacher and the new student. I'm assuming you know their whole family?" I asked, glancing at her.

Hina glanced at me and sighed before answering, "Yes, I know their whole family. Why are you suddenly curious about me, Your Highness?" she mocked.

"Because, you're suddenly not very boring."

"I'll take that as a compliment. What happened to your freckly boyfriend?"

"If you haven't already noticed then you're dumb as hell. He got a girlfriend so he walks home with her now," I said, adjusting the bag on my shoulder.

"Huh." she said and I noticed a small smirk on her lips.

"Spit it," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Spit what?" she asked, biting the inside of her cheek.

"I know you have something to tell. Come on, do it."

She sighed, smirk still lingering on her face. She looked at me sideways and studied my face.

"I'm sure you're very aware of your face, of how handsome you are."

My cheeks suddenly felt warm. "Yeah, so?"

"I'm just surprised that you're freckly friend got a girlfriend before you," she said, smirk widening.

"Relationships are a pain in the neck. I'd rather not," I said, running my hand through my hair.

I noticed a car coming our way and mindlessly tugged at her sleeve to come away from the road. She pretended to not notice but I saw her other palm glide up her arm to the place where I tugged her. She held it there. Not moving it from that place.

"I think the same. Dates, meeting up, good night, good afternoon and good morning messages?" she said and scoffed, slightly shaking her head.

"Yuck." we both said, in unison.

She looked at me and so did I but looked away quickly. We remained silent for the next few minutes before we reached her house.

"Bye." she said, and stalked over to her door. I nodded in response and was about to turn around when I saw The King and the shrimp hugging each other followed by a passionate kiss, beside their house.

I was taken aback for a moment but sighed and turned away. I saw this coming a mile away, so it wasn't a surprise to me. I wondered if Hina knew about it and continued towards my place.
