" Just like the rain when it falls, I fall deeply in love to the point that it hurts"

___________

At the maid cafe, the whole afternoon was solemn. Possibly because of the dreadful weather outside, the usual white clouds were now dark, and the pitch was no longer the bright color of sea blue. The cafe was vacant, except for people walking in to buy a warm cup of coffee to keep warm during the cold day

What made the day much worse was that Sayuri hadn't seen Miya and the rest of the gang for a while after the hot springs trip. There were fun memories made full of laughter and happiness. And Miya and Sayuri, we're just starting to feel a connection with each other

She knew that Reki's big race was a couple of days ago, but she hasn't heard anything from except for the occasional "hi, how are you?" from Cherry or Joe. Sometimes Miya would text her to annoy her. Despite her protest of wanting to go to "S" and cheer on Reki Sayuri wish to be allowed since they didn't want her to get hurt by Adam or worse, Adam will start "loving" her in his twisted way

Even so, Sayuri knew something terrible just happened between Reki and Adam. She has to find out what happened. Did Reki lose? Or did he win?

In the back of her mind, Sayuri knew that Reki would lose to Adam, not because she has low standards of Reki'a skateboard techniques but because Adam is unpredictable it would cause Reki to lose the race. He still has a long way to go before he's able to defeat Adam, he just needs to learn to be less fearful and just go for the big jump, even if he doesn't land he still did the jump without cowering away like always.

Sayuri cleaned a couple of tables and did some of the dishes before she was gonna go on a quick 30min break to eat and relax until a loud bang was heard and the slamming of the door resonated throughout the cafe. There standing was none other than Reki with his red hair and clothes soaked. Just as Sayuri was about to scold Reki for interrupting her break and coming in all wet she realized something was off about Reki, the once cheerful loudmouth skater was quiet with a solemn look on his face

Instead of bombarding him with questions Sayuri grabbed a fresh towel and dried off Reki's hair so he wouldn't get a cold, if Reki didn't have such a sad face Sayuri would laugh at his state and make fun of him but right now Sayuri had to help Reki

" Good grief, did you even look at the weather today Reki? Let's just hope you don't catch a cold" Sayuri spoke softly to Reki, nothing means nothing harsh like she was trying to console Reki and cheer him up

No response came out of Reki, no sarcastic comment back to her nor did he acknowledged her comment his eyes were lifeless and all he did was stars into oblivion
