The red traffic light turned green. The vehicles in front of them started to slowly move, and the driver behind them impatiently honked at them.

Xi Wenjun drove the car forward. Feeling that Shen Weiyin was staring at her, she tightened her grip on the steering wheel.

The next day, Lu Corporation issued a clarifying statement about the rumors running rampant online about Lu Beichuan, his wife, and Shen Weiyin. The statement strongly denied that anything had happened between Lu Beichuan, and Shen Weiyin in their youth. The statement also responded to the speculations that Ye Zhen was the third party that broke up Lu Beichuan and Shen Weiyin’s relationship by saying that Lu Beichuan and Ye Zhen were genuinely in love. There was no third party in their relationship.

Lu Corporation's clarifying statement also angrily rebuked the magazines and media people that had spread these rumors for having no professional ethics. Lu Corporation also stated that it would be holding these parties responsible for their libel.

The media people, who had been responsible for those rumors, had been working in the entertainment circle for a long time. Thus, they didn't take Lu Corporation's statement seriously. They continued writing as if they were watching a good show. There were even plenty of media people that said Lu Corporation's actions in trying to cover up this scandal only made it more conspicuous. They asserted that Lu Corporation's clarifying statement only confirmed the authenticity of those rumors.

However, it didn't take for the people who continued to make those remarks to get letters for Lu Corporation's legal department. Lu Beichuan spent eight figures to pay his lawyers every year, and he put them all to use to deal with this matter.

However, there was also a group of people that thought it was unnecessary for Lu Corporation, which was such a large company, to post something online in response to these media people and tabloids. They felt that this would damage the prestige of a large company.

Just when it was getting awfully noisy online, Lu Corporation commissioned a well-known magazine to release the recording of Ye Zhen and Shen Weiyin's conversation in the conference room. In the recording, Shen Weiyin made it clear that all of the rumors online were fake.

Soon after the well-known magazine released the recording, Shen Weiyin's studio issued a clarifying statement that those rumors circulating online about Shen Weiyin and Lu Beichuan's relationship weren't true. Ye Zhen wasn't a third party to their relationship either. All those rumors were false. They further stated they hope that most of the netizens and fans could keep a clear head and think independently. Don't just follow the crowd blindly and believe in those unsubstantiated rumors.

At the same time, there was a popular post on a famous forum. The title of the post was Breaking News: My handsome and rich boss, his beautiful wife, and their cute son.

The poster had blurred out the identities of the boss, boss's wife, and the boss's son. However, once people thought about the recents forum posts about Lu Corporation's CEO and the famous actress, Shen Weiyin, they would be able to guess that this boss was referring to Lu Beichuan.

The people on this forum were currently engrossed in Lu Beichuan and Shen Weiyin's tragic love story.  They loathed Ye Zhen for having the attitude of wanting to be the third party in a relationship. Thus, when they saw that post, without waiting for the original poster to say anything, their flood of comments immediately pushed the post up in ranking. They clamoured for the original poster to leave the forum. Why was this poster touting a third party's happy life?

The original poster wasn't annoyed at all. She waited until those netizens, who thought they represented justice, finished writing their righteous indignation thoughts before posting the secret photo she had taken as well as writing what she had seen and heard at the office.

As expected, many people still didn't believe her.

It was fine if they didn't believe her. She wasn't someone that was easy to deal with. She posted the link to her post on her company's private chat group. It didn't take long for her post to be occupied by Lu Corporation's employees. These employees all wrote down what they had seen and heard today.

Lu Corporation's PR staff contributed the most. They wrote out what they had seen of Shen Weiyin and Ye Zhen's actions and words at the conference room. Their detailed accounting of that meeting was very realistic to the point that it could make you feel as if you were actually there.

At first, Shen Weiyin's fans asked the forum's moderator to check the IP of those posters. After the moderator confirmed that those posters didn't have the same IP address, Shen Weiyin's fans said that Ye Zhen had hired a water army to blacken Shen Weiyin.
