September 02nd 16:37 :
(3 months later)

"...These taste salty."
Simon grimaced, placing the half-eaten cookie back on the tray.

"What!?"
JJ grabbed one and took a bite out of it. His face then screwed up in disgust, as he realised Simon was right.

"I think I accidentally used salt instead of sugar."
He sighed, taking a seat on the stool next to him.

"Why'd you have the sudden urge to bake cookies though?"
Simon asked, standing up to collect all of the dirty bowls.

"You're going tomorrow, so I figured you'd want one last memory of me."
JJ sighed dramatically, with an extremely melancholic expression. Simon couldn't figure out if he was joking or not.

Simon scoffed, putting all of the dirty dishes in the sink.

He had'nt been voicing his worries to JJ, but sectretly Simon was desolate. The fact that he really was leaving tomorrow still didn't feel real. The collage Simon had applied for was far out of London, so it had been decided that he'd move in with his aunt who lived in that area. That meant that he could only have time to see everyone... during the holidays.

He could only see JJ, in person, during the holidays.

"Simon..? Simon, the water's overflowing."

"Shit!"
He quickly tuned the tap off, and grabbed a nearby towl to wipe the floor.

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah... I'm fine. I'll help you make one more batch."

"...I'll miss you once you're gone."
JJ said quitety, breaking the silence.

"You do know that I'm not dying right?"
Simon retorted, trying his hardest not the make the atmosphere sad.

The room was yet again filled by silence.

"Will we still... y'know, be a thing after you leave?"
JJ asked, unusually quiet.

"...What!? Yeah... Why wouldn't we?"

JJ sighed out in relief, pulling Simon in for a hug. Simon hugged him back, as JJ buried his face in his shoulder.

"JJ, I'll miss you too. ...But It's fine. It'll only be a couple months before I'm back for Christmas. Besides, I've still got the rest of this evening and tomorrow morning before I leave."
Simon smiled, trying to cheer him up.

"You can actually be a very nice person when you try."
JJ grinned, no trace of his previous depressing demeanour.

"I hate you so much."
Simon said, shoving JJ playfully.

"Do we have time for one last attemp for the cookies?"

"If we're really quick. My mum'll be back in an hour's time."

Simon smilled, following JJ who had practically ran down the stairs.
