"Ugh, but why?" I groan.
"Think of something!" Maya whisper yells to Damian, "I can hear you Maya," I roll my eyes.
"To celebrate you being single for," he counts on his fingers and then looks towards Maya, whose eyes go wide, "umm, three weeks?" Damian finishes.
"Alright, but not too late I still enjoy my sleep, okay?"
"Yes!" Maya screeches, I shake my head and giggle at her. I am partially only agreeing to this because I know how hard it has been on Maya lately. She is living with her aunt now and I know they have a really good relationship but, I also know she feels bad for leaving her mum.
"Wait, what?" I look over to Maya and nod for her to continue, "since when did we actually use f block?"
I look over at her phone, "why do you need to meet with your teacher?"
"She said that I did really good on my assignment and that she wanted me to take on this extra task," Maya says casually getting up from her seat to make her way towards f block.
"I'll come with you," Maya sighs in relief, "oh thank gosh, I don't want to go alone."
"Damian?" I say spinning around to see if he's going to come or not, he flicks his wrist and stays in his seat, "suit yourself," I say shrugging and catching up to Maya.
"F block, huh? Isn't that where everyone goes for a hookup? You should ditch me and join them Alya, you need some fun in your life."
I roll my eyes at her, "I got you and Damian how much more fun could I have?" I say sarcastically.
We continue to walk past the oval where some seniors are playing soccer, and off field are a group of people drooling over them, gosh soccer players at our school are so overrated. Maya seems to agree as she rolls her eyes at them, "You got something there!" she calls out to someone who's intently watching the soccer players, "what?!" they scream back freaking out, "just a bit of drool is all!" Maya says containing her laughter, the person simply slaps a hand over their face and runs to the bathroom, clearly not understanding the joke.
Me and Maya start burst out with laughter and before we know it we've come to the last turn before f block, "Brace yourself, you don't know how ugly it is around here," Maya says cringing, "I don't know whether to cover my eyes or ears," I say giggling, "oh, hun just cover both."
We turn the corner only to see the one and only Dylan Grey Hale, a few girls, people and some other guys. A few of them are trying to get Dylan's attention but his eyes are trained on mine. I give a weak smile, trying to ignore the couple aggressively making out in the corner of my eye.
Dylan clears his throat, "You've come to your senses Dawson?"
I nod my head and slightly chuckle, "I'm only here for her," I point to Maya, "and she's only here to speak with a teacher," a look of almost disappointment I think, rushes over his face. Is that all I am to him? Just a casual make out? I honestly thought somewhat better of him.
Dylan swallows thickly, "Mind if I join?" I look over at Maya, who seems to be unbothered by it so, I nod my head and he follows us into the classroom.
We walk into the stuffy classroom, f block is a horrible place to be I don't know why any teacher would chose this classroom for any reason, not to mention the kids that make out outside of it.
"Sorry to make you meet me here," the teacher says slightly shuddering, "I had a tutoring class in here and it was easier for me to just stay here with all my stuff than to move around," Miss Owl says sighing.
Maya dismisses it, "Oh, no problem I had a bit of fun walking over here anywhere," she shoots me a look and I grin back at her.
Maya and Miss Owl start talking about her English assignment whilst Dylan and I walk aimlessly around the classroom, "Dawson."
"Dylan," I raise my eyebrows, "are you enjoying this part of town," he asks referencing to f block.
"Mmm, it's been quite the experience," I gesture towards him, "I see you enjoy it very much," He nods chuckling, "correction they enjoy it," I cross my arms over my chest, "so, then why hangout here?"
Dylan turns away from my admiring some of the posters on the walls, he takes his time before answering me, "because I don't have anything better to do," he turns towards me and smirks.
"You could play soccer."
"Too many drooling mouths."
"When has that ever stopped you?"
Dylan steps closer slowly, "you could sit at the canteen."
"No, I don't like the people who sit there," he says shaking his head, "library?"
"Don't like them either."
"Grass near the oval," he shakes his head again, "don't like 'em either."
"Do you like anyone?"
"Of course I do Dawson," he says placing his hands either side of me on the table I'm leaning against.
His eyes stare deep into mine but it gets too awkward for me so I look away, he hides a smile that is made because of my reaction.
"So, you hangout at f block?"
"Yeah, I only do it because no one comes here-"
"Clearly."
"Well, that is unless they know I'm here."
"Fair enough, why don't you hangout with like the one person you like?"
"Oh, simple she just wouldn't be able to control herself in my presence," he shrugs, "well not until she's out of the post-breakup stage," he mutters probably hoping I didn't hear.
"Mmm, yeah no I heard that, care to explain," I push his chest so he's standing completely straight in front of me.
He hesitates unsure of what to say, "She..."
"She?" I pressure him to keep going, "hangs out beside the soccer oval isn't ready to move on yet." he says hesitantly, I nod, "is that so?"
"Yep," he nods unconvincingly, "seriously," Dylan meets my eyes.
"Seriously?" I question.
