Delilah's pov: We arrived at Tracey's house, and let's just say we were tired as hell. "Let me help you with that." Tracey offered as she pushed my wheelchair through the threshold. "The place is cozier than I thought!" I exclaimed. "Yeah, my mom made sure the place was ready for the winter." Tracey replied.
"Hey Delilah?"
"Yes?" I answered
"Wanna help me decorate the Christmas tree tonight?" She asked in excitement. "Ummm YES!" I smiled. "Hey Tracey I'm feeling kinda cold. Do you have a sweater I an borrow?" I asked as I rubbed my hand on my shoulder for heat. "Yeah sure, let me fetch you something of mine." Tracey said then went upstairs. I was left at the threshold, looking around the cozy little house with all the candles hanging from each corner, showering the house with a little mist of warmth. There were red, yellow, and green autumn colored couches just around the corner, behind them was the window that had the breathtaking view of the enormous cedar trees planted in a straight line leading up to the mountains. "COME ON BOY WE DONT GOT ALL DAY!" I heard a voice yell out. I moved my wheelchair around to look out the window. It was Neville's gran screaming as he was struggling to move the luggage. "MAYBE TRY HELPING OUT A BIT, GRAN" Neville replied with an angry tone. "TRY BEING 85 WITH BACK PAINS YOU SON OF A BISCUIT!" His gran screamed which made me laugh. Neville saw my head popping out of Tracey's window, which made me nervous so I hid under the window, letting out a slight giggle. "COME ON BOY!" Gran Longbottom demanded once more. "COMING!" Neville screamed back. I heard footsteps descending down the stairs as I twirled back around. "Here you go, this should do." Tracey said as she handed me her warm wool sweater. She grabbed herself one as well. "That's one warm sweater you got there!" I smiled. "RIGHT?" Tracey replied with a giggle. "Girls!!!! lunch is ready!!!!" Tracey mom yelled out. "Coming!" Tracey and I said at the same time. "WEEEEEE!" Tracey screamed as she pushed my wheelchair so hard and fast around the house. "TRACEEEEEYYYY" I let out a scream as she swayed me left and right around the house. "GIRLS YOU'RE GONNA BREAK TUE FLOWER VASE!!!" Tracey's mom yelled. "Charlotte?! Are you there?" We heard a voice of an old lady as she knocked on the door. Tracey's mom rushed over to the door in her aprin as she was cleaning her hands with it. She opened the door, only to find Neville's gran standing there with a basket full of herbs from her garden for her to cook for lunch. "Ah! just what I needed! Thank you so much Augusta. I have some milk of you need some!" Tracey's mom offered. "I guess we do need some of that. If you don't mind ofcourse." Gran Longbottom smiled. "Not at all! Wait here, okay?" Tracey's mom said as she ran to the kitchen to prepare some milk for her. Tracey and I sat there questioning whether we should say hi or something. "Delilah Pritchett, isn't it?" Gran Longbottom asked as she pointed at me. "Yes, that's me." I answered. "Neville has told me so much about you, he had a blast with you two last summer! I suspect this winter shall be fun now that the river freezed into a plate of ice you can skate on!" Gran laughed. "We sure will!" Tracey replied. "Aaaaalright, here is your milk!" Tracey's mom said as she walked fast to Neville's gran as she was trying to balance the big bucket of milk she was carrying. "Thank you, dear. Hey, and by the way, its the New Years Tomorrow, and we simply must invite you over to dinner! We invited the Malfoys and the Zabinis as well. We also need to discuss some things about the ministry. You must attend!" Gran Longbottom insisted. "Oh god...oh god this is not good." I whispered to Tracey as my heart was racing. "Yeah, you heard her. Draco and Neville on the same fucking table. Good luck." Tracey whispered back. "But hey, they are gonna have to respect the fact that you are in a really sensitive place right now, so fighting over would be the most immature thing to do." Tracey said. "We would be honoured! See you tonight Augusta! I will be sure to bring you bring you my finest wine!" Tracey's mom offered. "Oooo! wine is my favorite!" Tracey said with excitement. The whole room just stared at her, wondering when has she tried wine before, or any kind of alcohol for that matter. "Oh no, I meant it WILL be my favorite, like in the future when I'm actually ALLOWED to drink...hehe." Tracey said nervously. I burried my laughing face on Tracey's shoulder as her mom said goodbye to Gran Longbottom. "PHEW!" Tracey sighed after a deep breath. And after what seemed like forever, it was time for dinner. We woke up the next morning, had lunch, and watched the sun set as the houses beside us were packed with family and friends under one light bulb. As for me, I was watching Tracey help her mom in washing the dishes and filling them with pie and turkey. I was admiring the Christmas tree we decorated this morning. But there was one thing on my mind. Neville. No, Draco. No, Neville. Ugh! The thought of both of them sitting in one room together exhausted me. Mostly because i feel guilty for not kissing Neville the night of the Yule Ball. And if I were to walk, I would've spun around the house like a nervous bee. But I just sat there as Tracey was ranting about how sick she has been feeling lately. "Oh my god are you even listening to me?" Tracey asked as she sighed. "Oh um....what?" I said, confused. "Delilah. When your best friend is ranting about something, don't stare into the beyond." Tracey scoffed. "Sorry sorry. I'm just kinda nervous for tonight." I sighed. "Ahhh. Hey, its not like this whole drama was your fault."
"It kinda is." I mumbled.
"Buuut, I will give you something even more important to be excited about." Tracey smiled. "And that is?" I asked. "YOUR OUTFIT MISS GIRL!" Tracey said with excitement as she spun my wheelchair all over the room. "But...I haven't packed anything fancy, plus I don't feel like wearing a dress." I said. "Del. Are you saying what I think you're saying?" She said anticipated. "Yup. I'm gonna wear-"
"A SUIT! Excellent choice!" Tracey squealed. "MOM! CAN DELILAH BORROW YOUR 20 YEAR OLD GREEN SUIT?!" Tracey called. "Wait....am I even allowed to-"
SLAP!
"NOW WHAT THE FFUCK WAS THAG FOR TRACEY!" I screamed. "Allowed to?" She mocked "Honey, this is YOUR house. you have the green card to do anything so don't you DARE ask for permission from me, DO YOU UNDERSTAND?"
"SIR YES SIR!" I screamed with a rough voice and a firm hand on the side of my face like a soldier. "Come here, Delilah. I want to show you something..." Tracey's mom said as she moved my wheelchair upstairs to her room. She opened her wooden closet, and burried herself between the old junk and vintage. And finally, she found something. She pulled out a green suit that looked classy but was a little dusty around the edges.
