"Good Morning babe!" Kaminari jumped on the bed, pinning Sero down playfully. "Time to wake up sleepy, I made breakfast!" He smiled brightly as the scent of bacon and coffee wafted through the open door.

Sero, still half asleep, kissed Kaminari passionately, wrapping his arms around him, hugging him tightly for a moment.

"I fucking love you." Sero stood up, picking up Kaminari and carrying him to the kitchen.

After being set down, Kaminari grabbed his mug from the counter, sticking it in the microwave to warm, as he grabbed some plates.

Sero picked his mug from the hanging rack under the cabinet. He prepared his coffee, adding some milk and sugar to it. As he sipped lightly, careful not to burn himself, he watched Kaminari waltz around the kitchen serving up two plates of migas and putting away the odds and ends he had used to cook.

"Could you grab my mug for me, please?" Kaminari asked sweetly as he carried the plates of food to the living room.

"Por supuesto." Sero grabbed the mug of milky coffee from the microwave.

"Thanks babe!" Kaminari beamed brightly as Sero handed him his mug

"Thank you for making migas, mi amor." Sero smiled, gently kissing Kaminari on the forehead as he sat down. 'Why are you so sweet to me?' He stared at his food as his mind wandered away. 'He's too good for you.' the voice spat like venom, 'Plain as you are, he deserves better.' the voice hissed.

"You just going to stare at it, or...?" Kaminari tilted his head, looking up at Sero, seeing how distant and cold his eyes had gotten. "Babe?" Kaminari raised his voice slightly to get his attention.

"Hm?" Sero snapped back, his eyes softening as he looked over at Kaminari.

"Are you, okay?" Kaminari asked tenderly as he stroked Sero's leg.

"Yeah, sorry, I was just thinking, is all." Sero smiled warmly, doing his best to push the voice aside.

Kaminari sat silent, unsure of what to say. 'Hanta? What's eating away at you?' It had been a while since Sero's depression acted up like this. Usually Sero was pretty good at hiding it, but that meant by the time Kaminari could tell, it was more than Sero could handle alone.

They ate in silence, Sero occasionally drifting away, despite his best efforts to stay present. 'So plain.' the voice whispered, full of malice, 'You don't deserve him.'

Kaminari gently squeezed Sero's leg to bring him back. 'Please stay with me, Hanta, please... don't go.' An old memory, from when they were just beginning to date, flooded his mind. After a particularly terrible week, he caught Sero sitting on the floor of his room, rolling around a bottle of pills in his hands, blood dripping from his arms, his eyes distant and lifeless. 'Please, I need you.' Kaminari did his best to keep his composure and finish his food.

As they finished eating, Sero held Kaminari's hand, squeezing it firmly.

"Food was amazing cariño, thank you." Sero smiled sweetly at Kaminari, cradling his face

"I love you." Kaminari smiled back warmly as he nuzzled into Sero's soft hand.

"I love you too, so very much." Sero cooed softly, pressing his forehead to Kaminari's before gathering the dishes and heading to the kitchen.

Kaminari sat down on the sofa, staring up at the ceiling as Sero cleaned the kitchen. 'Is it just stress? Or... Did I?... Do something wrong?' Before he had time to think about it, Sero's phone rang.
