Season 2: Episode 14

Chris, Sonja, Brody, and I hugged close as we yelled into the phone recording us "Happy grand opening, Pride!"

We all started laughing as Brody spoke "Oh, he's gonna just love it."

"Where's Patton? He's supposed to bring the King Cake from Randazzo's." Chris said putting his arm around my shoulders.

Sonja started dancing "Called. Late. Ah..."

Brody chuckled "Finding that little baby inside the King Cake, yet another New Orleans tradition that I love!"

I chuckled as Sonja and Brody high-fived "Right?"

"It's so sweet." Brody said smiling.

"Only Mardi Gras didn't start in New Orleans. It started in Alabama." Chris said proud making me chuckle.

"Shut up." Sonja said looking towards Chris.

"Yeah, the lore is Mobile had the big parties and big floats way before New Orleans." I said helping Chris out.

Chris looked to me and smiled as Sonja laughed at me "The lore?"

Before I could respond our phones went off, we all read it before looking up "Dead Marine and a wounded security guard at Landon Court Hotel."

"Mayor's Soirée is there tonight." Brody said.

I groaned "Well, my invitation must've gotten lost in the mail."

Sonja chuckled "Clearly. Mine too."

Chris nodded pulling me into his side "Yeah, streets are packed. Be easier to walk."

Sonja nods jumping off the counter while Brody grabs her stuff "I'll get Pride and meet you guys there."

"Come on my beautiful best friend and Sonja." Chris said as we began walking towards the hotel.

Sonja groans "Have I mentioned she's my best friend?"

"I will fight you." Chris glares playfully in her direction.

I chuckle "There's enough of me for both of you. Now come on."
