MY TOXIC AND ABUSIVE MARRIAGE

Chapter 4

GULF'S POV

Its been two weeks since Mew stopped me from working. The bruises he gave me that day had healed only for me to get another yesternight.

Why???...

Because he was with my seized phone when Kelvin chatted me up with a "hi". He beat me black and blue and blocked him.

Now I'm in pain with my face decorated with bruises while he's peacefully sleeping upstairs.

It's 3pm in the afternoon and I'm just sitting in the living room in this big mansion watching a movie that I am not even interested in,just watching it to pass time.

Is this how I would live from now on till my baby comes?? I really hope not. I guess he would change his behavior when our child comes..I can't bear to raise my child in an abusive home.

The ringing of our doorbell brought me out of my thoughts

'Who could that be??..we aren't expecting any visitor' I thought as I stood up

I went to open the door and I was very surprised at who I saw....

"AUNT TIA!!!!" I screamed in joy and hugged her tightly..my sweet aunt,I never thought she would ever have time to come see me especially with me loosing all connections with her

"Gulf my son,I can't breathe..you're hugging me so tight my dear" she said while chuckling

But I don't want to let go of her yet..I feel so warm and safe in her embrace

I then took her inside closing the door after us.

"I'm sorry I haven't come to see you in a long time Gulf,Aunt has been really busy..forgive me my dear" she apologized

"Aww Aunt no need to apologize,you being here is enough already,I wish for nothing more" I sincerely said,I haven't been a saint myself..Mew made me loose all connections with her

"Aunt wait a minute,let me dish out some food for you,you must have be very hun.." she cut me off

"My dear!! what's wrong with your face!!!*gasps*..did your husband hit you!?? Omg look at those bruises" she said shockingly

Oh God!!! I forgot to cover my bruises up!

"Aunt it's n-nothing,I just annoyed him a lot..I have been acting up because of my pregnancy so he lost it and beat me..you don't have to worry aunt,it was the only time he beat me and later apologized,he also promised not to hit me again" I tried to smile to cover my lie but winced at the pains on my swollen bruised cheek

"Oh no Gulf,you're pregnant?? And he still beat you in that condition! That's absurd my dear and highly unacceptable,him getting angry doesn't mean he should ever raise a hand on you! Be honest with me baby..how long has this been going on? I'm sure this isn't the first time he has beaten you" Aunt Tia said making me cry..my emotions were a wreck,she then pulled me close and embraced me while patting my back gently

"He started abusing me five months after our marriage,I really don't know why or how he changed. He isn't the Mew I dated. I don't know where I went wrong in my marriage aunt,Mew has changed so much...he beats me for any slightest mistake" I cried out to aunt

I couldn't bring myself to tell her that I almost had a miscarriage,I had stopped communicating with people,that he made me loose all connections with her and even stopped me from working. They all warned me after all,that I was rushing into marriage with my boyfriend of just four months,only if I knew.
