"So... your names are Bri Storm, Amelia Mar and Winonia?" Luz trailed off as she looked at the trio.

"Winonia Grounds." The catcher said with a smile.

"Right." Luz could not help drawing parallels to Lucia friends. They looked like older, human version of her own friend group. Save for Skara and Gus who's lookalikes were not present.

"So... now what?" Luz asked. She was sitting in Lucia's apartment with three strangers and years of personal trauma.

"Well... Lucia would kill us if we didn't like take care of you. So how about we go shopping? Get you something better to wear." Bri suggested looking at Luz's outfit.

"What's wrong with how I dress?" Luz asked shocked at the blunt pink haired girls statement.

"Luz sweetie, you dress like a crazy person from the 90's" Winonia said pointing at her.

It was true, Luz's clothing was from the Owl House, which got it's items from trash cans on Earth. But still! Luz could totally rock the style!

"You can check out all the best LA Shops." Amelia said enticingly. "Plus" She continued as the pitcher stood up and walked to the kitchen. "You can pick our ride." Amelia pulled out 5 different keys and placed them on the table.

Interested Luz walked to counter. Looking over the options and at her own outfit.

"Fine, but I'm definitely riding shotgun." The teen declared as she picked up some keys.
Although flying on a staff was faster. Luz had to admit, driving down the highway with not one, not two but three supped up cars was amazing. Amelia was driving her green Porche while Bri was in her Ferrari, Winonia was cruising in her Tesla. The three cars sped down the road and parked one after the other on the street. Almost gliding into place.

"This is a no parking zone, you could get a ticket." Luz said pointing at the sign. It felt weird to say after so long on the Isles.

"Don't you know? Tickets are just parking fees for rich people." Bri said as she hopped out of her car.

"Yeah what's like $150?" Winonia added.

"Luz, we make like 3 million dollars per game." Amelia stated as she locked her car.

"And that's if we lose!" Bri said with a laugh. "Now lets Shop!"

Luz did everything she could to not look at the price tags. She got a t-shirt, shorts and a jacket. But all three were tailored to fit her perfectly. Her shoes cost thousands and her new phone was top of the line. Amelia slipped a bracelet onto her wrist.

"Now this... this is much better." Bri said with a grin.

Luz looked into the mirror and smiled. She looked good. She snapped a photo on her phone but then stopped. There was no one to text.
"You okay?" Amelia asked noticing Luz's hesitation.

"Yeah uh, you said you make 3 million if you lose, how much if you win?"

The three athletes stopped and grinned. "Well it depends, we make money based on how many games we win." Winona said.

"If we win a bunch in a row then we get a nice bonus too." Bri added.

"How many games have you won?"

"Well Luz, In the five years you have been gone and our current team formed. We have never lost a single game. "Amelia said looking the teen in the eyes.

"Why haven't you been traded to different groups? Isn't it expensive to have such a powerful roster?" Luz asked.

"Bri, Winonia, Lucia and I are called the core four. Part of our contract is that we have to be on the same team." Amelia ruffled Luz's hair causing the teen to squirm.

"How do they afford you?" Luz asked as she ducked away.

"They find a way." Bri laughed as she also tried to ruffle Luz's hair.

"Let's go! We need to feed Luz." Winonia said pulling the pink haired baseman off then teen.

As they walked to their cars Bri's phone rang. "Hello?" She said. "What? Are you sure?" Her voice got eerily quiet as she grew serious. "Should I tell them now?"

Amelia, Luz and Winonia looked in concern at their friend.

"What happened?" Winonia whispered.

"A murder?!" Bri shouted.

Luz and Amelia looked at each other in shock. They both began to think of the worst possible outcomes.

"Who died?" Winonia asked shaking Bri.

"What happened?" Amelia was smacking her friends shoulder.

"Huh? Oh it was just a scam call." Bri said with a rude smile.

Amelia and Winonia began seeing red as they kicked their friend. Bri's infectious laugh made Luz smile.
