"What? It wasn't there before!" Aris yelped and ran over to the bathroom. Minho snorted.
"I don't believe a shuck word he says," he whispered to me and Thomas. I saw a flash of black on his skin and made him stop.
"You got one too," I notified him. He yelped and tried to look at it.
"What? No way! What's it say?"

The Leader.
He rushed over to the bathroom to see it himself. The Gladers erupted, reading off each other's tattoos. Most of them had their subject number, but didn't have a title. The girls were included. Vera's had a title:

Cynthia's Victim; The Sacrifice.
"Cynthia? Who the shuck is Cynthia?" Minho made a face.
"And what's this sacrifice klunk?" I frowned.
"What's mine?" Newt asked. I stood on my toes and read it aloud.

The Glue.
"What about mine?" asked James. I read it aloud for him too.

"Cool," James smiled, obviously happy with his title.
I grinned at the Gladers' childishness. The excitement and disappointment from being named were fun to watch.
"What's mine?" Thomas asked. Newt read it aloud, making me freeze.

To be killed by Group B.
They froze and looked at Thomas as if they were planning his funeral.
"Did everyone check their tattoos?" Vera asked.
The Gladers all nodded except for me. Minho walked over and read it, freezing.
"What's wrong? Does it say 'To be killed by Group A'?" I joked.
"Um, no."
He read it aloud.
