"Geez, how late can you be?" i grumbled at the red hair that just arrived. "Sorry, Oka-san. But seriously, this place is hyped as usual tonight!" Reki said looking around excitedly. "You're optimistic, that's nice. But have you forgotten why you're here in the first place? That dude has been eating off my ears since he came!" i pointed towards SHADOW who was now picking on another skater. "Look at him, how easily he forgot about you" i sighed in disappointment. "Don't worry, I'll make sure he remembers me well after i win this one" Reki knocked his fist with mine before going over to the crowd.

The reason why this beef was happening was because SHADOW dissed Reki and his way of skateboarding. And in the 'S' community, the only way to prove yourself is to skate and win. And the fact that it happens at night when the city's asleep, makes it even more thrilling.

The countdown to their beef started. "Keep your calm, Reki!" i said out loud. "Yeah!" he smiled at me. As soon as the last light lit, the beef began. We all watched the race that was projected at the large screen. Don't lose your cool, Reki i prayed internally watching the boy because SHADOW was doing dirty tricks. Well, that's the kind of guy he is. I sometimes wonder if his face is as ugly as his personality. And the match soon ended with SHADOW as the winner. In 'S', there are no rules so you can do whatever you want to win with your opponent i.e only in one-on-one battle. And SHADOW used that opportunity to win by throwing mini-bombs under Reki's board.

Anti-hero of the 'S' community, my ass. I'd love to beat up that geezer in a match i bite my inner cheek from throwing a punch at him. "Whatever, REKI!" i skated towards the boy, damn sure that he was injured. And proving me right like always, he was. "Alright kid, let's get you to the hospital" i said picking him up. From behind us, Reki's manager came with the car and took us out of the place.

Next Day

"Everyone be seated" the class teacher said coming inside the class. I hurriedly slide my phone in my pocket after checking notifications. "Introducing our new transfer student-" Huh? At this time of the year? i looked up to be met with a blue eyed foreigner with light blue hair. His skin was as pale as snow. Some of the girls around me whispered 'so handsome!' causing me to roll my eyes at them. "Hasegawa Langa" the transfer kid wrote on the board. From his vague introduction, we got to know that he came from Canada. Ooh! I always wanted to go there at least once! Even though most of the girls in the class was smitten seeing the boy, i shook my head. Nope, not my type. I prefer men, not boys.

After school ended, Reki and I skated together until we parted for home. Arriving home, i hurriedly freshened up and wore casual clothes for work. I'm a high schooler, who'd pay attention to my clothes? I then poured myself a glass of orange juice and gulped it down slowly while checking my social accounts. I looked at the time and realized it was time to go to work. Skateboarding through the streets, i reached my work place.

"Hello" i greeted the owner as soon as i saw him. "Hello, Chiyo-chan. You've been arriving quite on time for the past few days. Are you slowly becoming lifeless?" i blinked my eyes a couple of times at his question before smiling at him. "Kojiro-san, did another one of your butterflies leave you?" i looked at him in pity. He fake gasped at my words before bursting into laughter. "You're getting good" he nodded in satisfaction. "But, no. None of my ladies left me. I'm simply irresistible" he flapped his hair dramatically. "Yet i find you repelling" i commented before going to the staff's room to wear my apron. "That's mean!" i heard him shout after me causing myself to laugh out loud.

My phone buzzed a couple of times but i didn't bother to receive it caz the ones i know would never text me while I'm working. When it was break time, i took out my phone. "Well, there's an exception like this idiot here" i mumbled before opening the chats.
